Honeslty i want your thoughts...Do you guys think you are attempting to be a title contender w/ melo in the next 2-4ish years?

Because to me, atleast what i get from the moves you made, is that you guys are in an all in, unspoken rebuild.....the only reason you guys signed melo was to give the fans something in the mean time and for buisness purposes = revenue from his name.

idk tho :yeshrug:

That's what it looks like to me but I'm not a Knicks fan so I'm not sure what Phil/Mills/Fisher have going on.

These numbers :damn:.

Carroll making 15 means 11 for Afflalo could be the starting point:damn::huhldup:.

Please dont let it be us:sadcam:.

Phil needs to be on the horn with Bismack's people like YESTERDAY. We need contingencies with the way everyone is getting scooped up

Yea these salaries looking cray... Carroll, Middleton... dudes pulling football numbers.

Gerald Green and David West ain't looking too bad now lol

Because dudes are still stuck under the idea that you can build a contending team through free agency, because the Heat did it!

Yeah the shyt is trippy. The draft has always been the best place to build a roster from the ground up. I always looked at F/A as a place to get that ancillary piece to a good team. shyt rosters are better off building in the draft and more importantly giving the people they draft fkin minutes. Drafting a PF/C and signing two PF/C thru F/A is like :wtf: especially if none of the free agents is a franchise caliber talent. :manny: my thoughts.

Oustside of the Spurs and GS this year...thats how the Lakers, Celtics, Heat, and Mavs rosters were predominantly built.

Phil said from the jump the next 2 off-season he would build the team through FA. If the team intent was to re-build they wouldn't have re_signed Melo.

Locker room Guys like David West is big, plus he's productive, of course we don't want to over-pay for him but he would be a good signing.

We day 1 into free agency...Let Phil cook!

Wrong, the Heat are the only team of the last 15 years to win a title built primarily through free agency, the Mavs, Lakers & Celtics used trades of assets they already had to get players on their squads.

Yeah most difference makers don't leave..the Lebron thing was an anomaly

You have to build through the draft and collect assets but Dolan will never allow that so the Knicks barring Porzingis becoming a generational talent will never win won under his regime

They stuck on the idea you can use the Heat model, neglecting the fact the Heat got the best player in the world, the best PF on the market, and already had the 2nd best SG on their team.
