:deadmanny:At your whole post being about avoiding D.C. women :deadmanny: I have a few female acquaintances that go to Howard university and they told me that a lot of women up there, especially from a certain crowd are very boujie and stuck up. I don't know how true this is though.
Very much so. The worst.

my boy told me a lot of these broads on dating sites simply use dudes just to get free meals and nice restaurants with no actual intent of actually dating the man afterwards.

That's fact. Some of these broads don't know how to cook or clean. Their apartments have empty refrigerators and all that. :russ:

Yeah I think that people are not considering that the first date may not be what you are looking for. You can meet someone you are attracted to at an event, and after a week of talking on the phone then you go out with them. You guys go out to eat and the bill is $50+. This person burps, licks their fingers, snaps at the waiter/waitress, then ask for a doggy bag. They sound nice over the phone and then you see how they act. $50 down the drain. Now imagine you went on 3 other dates like that with different people. $150 down the drain in a week. It is best to keep first dates simple because you honestly do not know the personality of a person. I think that when you get to know each other more then i can understand the $50+ dates. In a relationship I can definitely see the $50+ dates.

:salute:

once you're with someone, spending some bread ain't a big deal at all. but to spend all that bread on someone that you're unsure of is not a wise investment.

Third pic is definitely what I consider dolled up
too. The first pic is something I would wear to brunch or something lowkey. Second can be dolled up if worn with heels and accessories.

I'm doing the whole make-up, eyebrows, nails, fresh hair do, heels and maybe even a new outfit if I really want to show off, lol.

Men don't realize how much work we put into ourselves trying to impress them.
Ain't no one asking for all that work. I'd rather you wore jeans and a t-shirt than try to glam up. If you not gonna look like that all the time then don't make a first impression with it.

It is true, though :francis: you gotta be swagged out with lots of social prestige and $$$ for some of the OD bad chick's to check you out. When I was in undergrad, I seen dudes pushing Beamers and Mercedes Benz while I was catching the metro. :birdman:

That's some old black money that people don't know of.

That is interesting...I ran into my acquaintance from high school. She goes to Howard university and is majoring in Nutrition and plans to go to dental school. Her father is a teacher/pastor and her mom a nurse. She told me about how she felt somewhat insecure because she did not have the latest outfits, her done every two weeks, and etc. She told me about how there are rich kids there that come from all over. She said some of the women there would not let her into their circles because she just did not have on what is trending. When she came back then she wanted to go on a shopping spree, but said her mom told her that she needed to relax and not get caught up in all of that and remember what she went to school for.
There is a youtuber that I watch and she spoke about her life in D.C....She said that if you are a woman tha tenjoys hanging around the same clique, dressing up, and going out for dinner/brunch and looking fly then D.C. is the place for you.

my brother went to temple in philly and then got a job in DC. dude is only 27 now, and we've been trying to get him to come back to the chi cuz all our fam is here plus my inlaws and my sisters inlaws who we all consider our family as well. so we got a HUGE support system here, and his job even has an office here. but the problem is he got a fiance from school who is from MA that don't wanna live here cuz she's totally intimidated with our family and all of us being here, thus she won't let him move. it's a fukking shame. he's stuck in DC, and he can't move. despite him paying damn near what I pay in mortgage for a 5BR house for a 1 BR apartment in DC near the white house.

Yeah, but someone like to look cute and presentable for the guy

When you say Jeans and T-shirt I'm thinking something like these :yeshrug:

I feel the same way, lol. I'm more into the laid back look now. That's not over the top but still has appeal. That glamour look isn't what's up anymore unless you're with your significant other or it's a special occasion. I'm tired of my feet hurting and having to pull my dress down every five seconds, lol.

Does your family dislike her or anything like that?

I am actually considering moving to Philly for Gradschool. I am going to apply to temple for grad school :ohhh:

Word. If I'm with. My girl who I will take out to dinner cause she's my girl, then sure we can get dressed up. But why should either of us be uncomfortable upon first meeting, we're probably both nervous so we should at least both be comfortable. Although if we feeling each other you may not have to keep pulling that dress down.:shaq::shaq:
