I don't know... maybe had something to do with the fact he quit on the Cavs to go ringchase in his prime with a super team in MIA, then quit on the heat to go ringchase with a new younger super team after that ?

Like the east was already weak as fukk..but the fact he hopped around as an in-prime top 10 all time player swapping teams with multiple in-prime All-NBA/Allstar teammates ain't exactly some insignificant minor detail... LeBron's playing with dwade and Bosh and muhfukkas talking bout the threat of a pacers team led by like a 22 year old Paul George and Roy Hibbert :russ:... then have the nerve to cry when the rabbit has the gun when the KD dubbs was sweeping that ass out the finals

Salute the championships, but this "dominated the east for 8 years" shyt is one of the most overblown moral victory ass lowered expectations thing in sports to me...
This logic so dumb. You don't win rings you get shytted on. Put yourself in position to win rings you get shytted on. I mean damn is it ooochie Wally or One Mic

They used to always go to bat for Kobe. Only reason Kobe got back into the GOAT debate is cause the players kept bringing him up unprompted. See Stephen Jackson, Allen Iverson, Shaq, Vince Carter, T-Mac, etc.

They both have players that go to bat for them....:usure:

Either way, it’s over man.... we gotta look forward to the next era. We stuck in the past while the future is putting in work now.

Sidenote.

Now maybe our agendas haven’t always aligned and most cases crashed into each other. And I may not rock with SOME OF THE MANIACS you kinda rock with.

But man..... you and I can run this joint and be the strongest faction ever:mjgrin:

Let’s call a truce there’s no reason anymore agenda to clash:salute:

Let’s make the LWO the strongest it’s ever been together:myman:

Plenty of people have Magic over Kobe and Kobe wasn't a thing yet to compare the two. And outside of 2011 every GOAT level player would've lost every Finals LeBron lost.

No he isn't.

nobody who matters has magic over Kobe.

Kobe doesn’t lose ANY finals in Miami if he had Wade AND Bosh. As for Cleveland I’m not sure if he would’ve lost 3 times but i know he would’ve got much more out of Kevin love than Bron did. love wouldve been putting up close to his Minnesota numbers with kob

MJ, Kobe, Kareem, Magic, etc

I usually hear the first two. People say "he's more Magic than Mike" but I don't recall really hearing comparisons. People seem more willing to let stuff go with the other 2. Once Mike got his ring and Kobe got his without Shaq there was a level of relenting and a shift in pressure that occured. Bron 35 and has done what he's done and that still hasn't happened yet. You don't hear people bemoan the fact that Mike never won a playoff series without Scottie. People were ready to crown Kobe over Mike despite him playing with Shaq. People didnt' simulatneously credit and cop pleas for their teammates. People don't harp on series where they were clearly outmatched. Now all this said, I know that haters and stans do all that shyt and worse. I am not talking about them. I am talking the media and fans in general and the popular narrative.

He doesn't lose the Mavs series

Not sure about that Spurs series. That was more about the Spurs depth and Wade being a shell of himself.

Kevin Love was physically a different player in Cleveland. He was no longer a banger. If it was just a Bron issue he'd be averaging T-Wolves #s right now.

Kobe would have got more out of Bosh.

Yeah the first two is who he’s mainly compared too. We all know there’s a MJ/Kobe/Lebron thing going on in basketball debates. Kareem is undoubtably top 3 though and I added magic in there cuz of the “he’s more Magic than mike” thing as you mentioned

The media doesn’t matter because they exposed themselves with Kobe. For players/coaches and the media to be so wildly apart on the issue of Kobe shows there was an agenda at hand. Plus a lot of media narratives have been debunked.

MJ didn’t get criticized for not winning without Scottie because as soon as he got Scottie they built a title team together. And they never lost. Bron joined up with a player who was in his prime and already won a title and immediately choked. It’s different.

when Kobe got his rings without Shaq the pressure did NOT relent. Kobe didn’t have 6 yet and you had people latching on to the 6-24 shyt. Even then, when he got his rings without Shaq they were #4 and #5. With an average supporting cast.

Out of MJ/Kobe/Bron, it’s only Bron they go to choose his teammates for all his title runs. And he’s 3-6, with 5 of them being real L’s (2007 he gets a pass, only 22 and weak team). The Dubs with KD might’ve been too good for the Cavs but Bron created the culture that led to KD going to GSw

that’s why I feel Kobe wouldn’t have lost to the Spurs. Wade was falling off but he would’ve went 100% into utilizing Bosh as his #2. Remember Pau’s shot attempts went UP when he joined the Lakers. Kobe knows how to feed his big men and would’ve loved playing with Bosh.

as for Love he did change as a player in CLE but at the same time his shot attempts went WAY down as soon as he got there.
