I have a PS4, but was wondering if the upgrade to the Pro is worth it with the 5 coming next year.

I have a pro. I'd say go for it if it's going to be a while before you buy the PS5. If you're copping the PS5 next year though I would just wait for that.

granted gamestop is gonna rape you regardless...but you’ll probably get better deals next year to trade in a PS4 pro v. the regular joint when applying or to the purchase of a PS5

*edit*

right now GS is offering $60 more for a pro v. the regular joint...might not be worth it to upgrade merely for the reason I suggested above

Theory I saw yesterday was it could serve as an expandable memory/storage device as the PS5 is supposed have a SSD. Maybe the internal has a 500 gig to keep the PS5 cheap and you can expand it with a these carts. (I hope they don't go the Vita route)

If this is true it's wild as fukk because Square originally stopped fukking with Nintendo due to the N64 being cartridge based. Which is why "FF7" was on the PS.

Obviously the technology is a lot better now and cartridges are more viable than they were in 1997 or whatever but still....never thought I'd see the day. :wow:

So are these cartridges basically gonna be sudo ssd drives? Obviously, Sony is not gonna let people upgrade the internal drive like in the past.
