Long as the quailty doesn't drop I don't mind truthfully. It's that good... but I worry when you start to get DLC that introduces characters we haven't even gotten to in the game. Even if it's limited...
Understandable. It does look like a really good game. Introducing new characters in DLC is a slippery slope, because on one hand, the game had already established that knowledge of when and how things happen doesn't really matter. But on the other, this almost has to be a relatively self contained story that leads up to some later event in the next game, otherwise they've got a problem with how she's integrated into the next part for people that didn't pay for her intro DLC.
I don’t really don’t know what else you can call it.
It is a remake of a cherished game, but only for a portion of the game. It comes in parts, or episodes. What else can you call it?
It's kind of a no win situation, without seriously reducing the scope of the game. On one hand, doing it as it is now is tough to not be seen as at least a little nickle and dimey, since it's likely going to take them somewhere in the area of three games plus DLC to cover what happened in one game. But on the other, looking at what they're trying to do, waiting to put it all out at once would result in a Kingdom Hearts 3 type development cycle (especially since Nomura is in charge). By that point, the game they announced for PS4 would come out damn near at the end of the PS5 lifecycle.
