If the government is carrying out their constitutional right and are a countermeasure against a ever creeping autocrat, then I'm tempted to side with the military on this one.
Especially after hearing that most of the people on the streets were basically called upon not only edogan but also mosque leaders telling their followers to take to the streets against the military. Obviously since edogan is becoming more theocratic they support him.
If the constitution is an objective document used to guide the nation's ruling despite populist attitudes , then I would side with the military in their quest to make sure it's adhered to even against popular opinion.
There is a reason why a republic or representative government is more popular than direct democratic governments. Populist attitudes are usually uneducated and ill informed.
