But we have the highest out of wedlock rates, which doesn’t help the situation.

I think most of us are aware of that statistic. But I don't know how anyone how can look at the above chart and simply deduce that "black people don't like to get married." By that large of a margin? Really? It doesn't make sense to examine the material conditions of any people (black or otherwise) and blame it on their culture when the culture itself is a result of their material conditions and history. It's like cutting a man's leg off and blaming him for not being able to run. It's like asking why Americans are car-crazed when most of our urban planning necessitates car ownership. And, to your original point, it's like asking why black people marry at comparably low rates after decades of harmful public policy, mass incarceration and economic disenfranchisement.

Some of you need to start looking at this from a macro level. That's great if you're doing well in life. Congrats. These discussions are not about any one individual.

It is culturally acceptable in the black community to have children out of wedlock. We have entire families where everyone has a kid out of wedlock. It isn’t just on the low income level. At some point, we stopped shaming each other about a lot of things that were unacceptable in the past. It’s not a feminism thing, because most of those women would be with their children’s fathers if the fathers wanted them. Black men and women want to be in relationships with each other, and are obviously physically attracted. Children out of wedlock is a problem we could solve tomorrow, if enough of us cared.

I wonder what these YouTubers like Akademics and DDG would do if they were born a a decade or 2 earlier where they couldn’t capitalize off the popularity of social media..

Lot of these social media rich people if you seen them before 2008-2010 you’d be laughing at the fact they trying to shyt on you now..they just were blessed with the foresight to see the net for what it was when you could get rich off it..

This.

The whole "streaming/internet personality" era is basically the dot com boom of the mid to late 90's all over again.

It's a very specific hustle that only works for a few people, for a very specific time frame. Who knows how those people would've ended up without it.

One good Andrew Tate did was tell these Youtubers to their face that they're soft as shyt and without lucking up, wouldn't be able to walk in the shoes of the average person :yeshrug:

That's funny because that also applies to Andrew Tate.

Doesn't really no

Like him or not, he had real jobs and was a fighter. Didnt blow up until he was much older than DDG and Adin and the likes.

These guys are blowing up straight out their teens.

Being a fighter has nothing to do with walking in the average person's shoes.

Dude's father was a international chess master. Andrew Tate never struggled a day in his life growing up.

He's basically Drake if he started kick boxing.

Most black "suburbanites" are literally one generation removed from poverty or literally became "middle class" during their lifetime
Which should make the point hit home just that much harder.

We've got statistics that disregard race and point out that class elasticity is largely a joke in the US
and the social strata/class you're born into is where you're likely to stay.

This is without covering how the poorer you are, the more the odds are stacked against you as far as growing
wealth, gaining an education and so on.

I beg to differ. If you grew up in the hood, you'd see plenty of people make stupid choice and it wasn't a white man around. And im not even talking about the wrongfully convicted or those fcked over by the system. Im talking about people who actually could've done well for themselves if they made better choices.. This is the things absolutely nobody wants to discuss because it involves being accountable.
