I pay for free shipping, that happens to come with Prime Video. Dont get me wrong, I love 'The Boys' and 'Invincible', but I wouldn't pay a dime for that trash streaming service. I pay for Netflix, HBO Max, and Paramount. My streaming expenses are a fraction of a typical cable bill. They could all double their prices and still be cheaper than cable.

These companies are taking the piss at this point. Spotify do this shyt too. Unskippable ads on podcasts even if you have premium :mjtf:
This one really pissed me off. I pay for Prime for the shipping benefits, the movies are just an added bonus to me. Rarely even go to prime, but still some bs.

For 2024 my side hobby goal is to build a NAS setup for the house. My wife and I really only watch the same stuff over and over anyways and then YouTube.

As long we have choices we'll never be back at cable, my parents still have cable for some godforsaken reason, $180 a month. But I will agree these streaming fuks are getting sneaky.
$184 for me including internet and all I literally watch is ESPN, football and Forensic Files as background noise. The basic cable package offering didn’t even include channels like TNT or TBS lol.

Honestly, even the streaming services are a waste of money for me as I barely use them.

Its crazy not even 10 yrs ago people were celebrating physical media dying and how cheaper and convenient streaming was to cable :hhh:
Crazy because people are now realizing that all that celebrating was a mistake. At least people who still cares about physical media are going to be still buying, especially when a number of these shows still get a physical release. It only sucks is if you are into video games as some of these companies don't even put the whole game in the disc, not even a portion :martin:

What are you talking about? I have premium too and I just ff it.

You can't always skip it. Happens with Bill Simmons one a lot, and others on the ringer. If you want to skip it you need to go into the episode description bit and click on one of the timestamps to jump ahead.

Plus sometimes I'll be listening when I can't actually be on my phone like in the car or some shyt. If you have premium there should be NO ads, skippable or not.
