These are good for other reasons but not really for muscle building. I don’t know if you were aware of that, but thought I’d point it out. They’re incomplete protein so your body doesn’t use them for much muscle building

As Ive stated multple times across different subforums, a regular person exercising and trying to make fitness gains should adjust their diet and get calories nutrients and minerals from the meals that they eat.

Dedicated protein powders and weight lifting supplements are for people who make their living with their bodies, bodybuilders or athletes. For the vast majority of the rest of us, its a waste of money.

Most people buying protein powders are trying to build muscle mass. You don't have to be a professional for that. If you're trying to get 180 grams of protein a day it's far more convenient and cost effective to do so using a supplement to get 40-60 grams.

Good luck to them. Ive never really in the supplement camp, and was schooled about cheap and accessible sources of protein from food.
If that article doesnt mention it, previous ones about supplement industry and protein powders have mentioned that they arent regulated by the FDA, because of a loophole.

This isnt news to people who lift, and with that info, I made the decision at a young age to limit them, and then to avoid them.

They have function, I’m not saying it’s useless but your body prioritizes complete protein for most muscle building functions and collagen doesn’t have that. Supposedly good for joint health and gut health mostly as well as recovery. AI is very frequently an unreliable narrator

I'm with you on protein powder, it's just a supplement to get easy protein, no different than eating it. But on the peptides, they're probably mainly talking about the ones you inject like:
