Above the fray.
.
If that article doesnt mention it, previous ones about supplement industry and protein powders have mentioned that they arent regulated by the FDA, because of a loophole.

Yep, the OP article covers it

Unlike prescription and over-the-counter drugs, the Food and Drug Administration doesn’t review, approve, or test supplements like protein powders before they are sold. Federal regulations also don’t generally require supplement makers to prove their products are safe, and there are no federal limits for the amount of heavy metals they can contain

Never fukked with protein powders. The body isn't supposed to take all that influx of protein anyway.

Read the post again.
As Ive stated multple times across different subforums, a regular person exercising and trying to make fitness gains should adjust their diet and get calories nutrients and minerals from the meals that they eat.

Dedicated protein powders and weight lifting supplements are for people who make their living with their bodies, bodybuilders or athletes. For the vast majority of the rest of us, its a waste of money.
Wtf is this nonsense :mjlol:

I bet if they did the same testing for shyt people buy at the grocery store on the reg, a lot of that prolly got more lead and heavy metal contamination than these powders.

Theres more harm of eating 3 cans of tuna weekly due to the high levels of mercury yet people still sell and eat canned tuna. I mean all the shyt we consume has minimum regulations even with unhealthy shyt put in them. I been fine having protein shakes the past 15 years.
