I'm with you on protein powder, it's just a supplement to get easy protein, no different than eating it. But on the peptides, they're probably mainly talking about the ones you inject like:
Exploring Peptide Therapies: Ipamorelin/CJC-1295 and the Wolverine Stack (BPC-157/TB-500) – Benefits and Indications | Re Wellness Hub
They have function, I’m not saying it’s useless but your body prioritizes complete protein for most muscle building functions and collagen doesn’t have that. Supposedly good for joint health and gut health mostly as well as recovery. AI is very frequently an unreliable narrator
Well this is what the one I actually use says, right from their website:

  • Support Your Fitness Journey: ProSupps Amino 23 Liquid Collagen is an upgrade to biology’s most essential building blocks. This premium liquid amino acid supplement uses high-grade collagen peptides to promote muscle growth, enhance recovery, and improve athletic performance. Berry flavor. 16 servings.
  • Promote Muscle Recovery and Growth: The collagen peptides in Amino 23 help repair and rebuild muscle tissue after intense workouts, so you can recover faster and perform better in every session.
  • Support Joint, Bone, and Skin Health: Amino 23 helps support healthy joints, bones, and skin. This supplement can help promote healthy aging, reduce inflammation, and enhance skin elasticity, making it an effective supplement to support your body’s connective tissues and for overall wellness.
  • Fast Absorbing and Effective: Collagen peptides are quickly absorbed, which can help assist in rapid muscle recovery and joint support. This fast-absorbing formula helps ensure that your body gets the nutrients it needs for optimal performance, recovery, and overall well-being.
  • Suggested Use: Take four tablespoons once a day with a meal. For advanced users, consume a second serving post-training to assist with muscle recovery. Shake well before use and refrigerate after opening.
  • Clean Ingredients: Made in the USA, this liquid collagen is soy and gluten free, and contains no artificial dyes. Zero calories, zero sugar, zero carbs, and caffeine free.
  • ProSupps – No Excuses, Just Results: ProSupps' dedication to quality and integrity means that we never cut corners and we always put your health and performance FIRST. Every ProSupps product goes through rigorous third-party testing for purity, efficacy and transparency. EVERY BATCH. EVERY TIME.

And like I already said, it’s not my main source of protein. I’m literally making Turkey burgers now, and I have ALWAYS used REAL food as my main source of protein…. I been saying that shyt for decades.

If I do use a shake, it’s right before a tough workout or after. Other than that, I barely drink it. Still on my tub from last year

In fact, after looking at the pic, I don’t use none of the shyt to avoid. I have TRIED the Organic and wasn’t a fan, and that one is mid.

Muscle Milk is cool, but I only been using the Gold Standard and Syntha ones for years.

And Huel is garbage all around

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
How much you bench and squat?
I don't have the traditional set plan, I focus more on sculpting, breathing and activating each muscle -

For legs:

I don't squat heavy or use the traditional squat bar. Also I don't max out so take this with a grain of salt.

I use the padded squat bar with forward handles that puts more emphasis on the quads than glutes - 185lbs in 4 sets of 10.

If I were to use the regular squat bar - maybe 205 to 225.

I incorporate lunges, glutes, calf raises, leg press, leg extensions with 10 plates so that's why I don't max out so I can't really tell how much I truly lift.

For chest:

Incline - 185 lbs - 4 sets of 10 or more

Flat - 205 to 215 - 4 sets of 10 or more - I'll sneak in maybe 7 reps with 225 in there.

I do other variations of tri's and chest exercises including dips, dumbbells, flies and 60 or more diamond pushups.

As I got older, I learned maxing out can create adverse affects including paralysis on the body because you lose bone density vs muscle mass.

Both are valid points.

I'm at a good weight, 5'10, 210 lbs - I don't need to build anymore mass. I'm pretty solid on muscle except I need to trim the waste/stomach.

I'll switch to the vital stuff and if anything - slim down 10 lbs.
I’m about same size at 200-205

Not trying to get bigger tbh.. actually trying to get to 185

Chicken breasts or steaks with salad.

:manny:

Anyone thinking a powder is healthy long term, needs a psych evaluation.
Even when I started lifting at 18, I knew long term that protein powder wasn’t sustainable. Realistically, who wants to be taking protein shakes into their 50s/60s? It simply doesn’t make sense.

I’m not downing those who use them, but surely it would make sense to get your protein from foods organically rather than using supplements?

The only thing I’ve added to my smoothies is sea moss gel, other than that, I would never add whey protein or anything else. I keep it 100% organic.

Think I'll sub out protein for Greek yogurt and blueberries too.
Chicken, Turkey, Fish and sometimes Steak has been been my diet for decades.

Might get a protein for lunch since I Intermittent fast usually too (I just skip breakfast/lunch most of the time by habit and so I’m not shytting at work like everyone else).

Don’t drink sodas either.. haven’t in years. I’ll drink Pedialyte with Vitamin Water if I need hydration. Most of this shyt II’ve subscribed to through Amazon so I don’t even think about it.

Drinking protein shakes sometimes, Hydrogen based water (H40), teas like Yerba Mate, Oolong, and Green. Sometimes Green Tea capsules when on the go, etc.

Ice facials and all.. been doing this shyt for years. The only unhealthy shyt I do/did was drinking (which I’ve basically stopped doing early this year) and vaping which I get suppressants from the VA for now.

I invest a lot of money into this shyt, but it came from experimenting with different things. Be on Biohacking forums just reading what people are trying.

I barely even lift now and people still think I’m in the gym all day
