I think if the Jets are looking to get rid of Idzik and Rex, the sooner they are fired the better.

It's sort of like O'Brien last year with Houston. They got rid of Kubiak, let it be known the position was open and they went to get their man. I guess it's not an apples to apples comparison(Houston is rife with talent, had the #1 pick), but they should clean house ASAP.

I hope we get a offensive guru coach

Who also can coach defense

Pep Hamilton, just do it.

Harbaugh pedigree, can work with a QB.

Crazy say it, but whats the chances of Josh McDaniels. Sure he failed in Denver, but there was a point he had them going a bit, and look what he is doing with the New England offense and rebuilding them from the ground back up

Probably go back and forth between Jameis, Mariotta and Cooper based on most mock drafts I've seen.

idzik agreed to the job knowing rex would be the coach, both have to go now
I saw a couple of headlines last night saying that it's leaked that idzik never meant to keep rex. The plan was to fire him regardless. Cowardly on Idzik's part.

he agreed to them, when like no other gm candidates would and he's failed at his job - so idzik should be gone

if he stays he will set our franchise back for more years

13 draft picks and he didnt do shyt with them

The Jets have been tanking....Rex was obviously never in the long term plans.

I can kinda rationalize tanking if you're flatout awful and decide that it's better to run out the season poorly and go for the draft pick. I can do that. Thing is, for many of our losses we were in the game versus better teams. Green Bay, Chicago, New England and even Denver were competitive showings. If we would have won those games (we would have with just a few more pieces) what would have happened then? Would Rex still be here? Would Idzik still be sabotaging the team?? I mean, I mean, like I said, I can make a case for tanking, sabotage, I can't.

Well, they're going to lose some season ticket holders because long term plans of keeping Rex is what they sold those fans.

Yup. We had areas that needed to be addressed after last season and the biggest moves that were made did not make a significant difference. Chris Johnson has had his moments, but Powell & Ivory were fine. We needed WRs, OL help and DBs. Too much faith was put into the rookies from last year. I can't see how Woody didn't sign off the money saving/lack of talent team this year.
