Only people im willin to let go in a trade is Sasha, Jose, Lou, Kevin, Kyle(:/) and Arron. With Arron I know I'm pissed recently cause of his lack of passing out of bad situations and last night just soured me on him a lot, he's streaky as hell and kind of reminding me of J.R. in a bad way.

Regardless, if this trade does happen we gonna lose someone I like and feel is a good piece:francis:

But this why I know I could never make these decisions, it ain't personal but when it need to be made a choice gotta get made.

can we package fisher in the deal:lolbron:

Who do you look to get in return for Afflalo? I wouldn't mind a young Kent Bazemore's type of 2 guard on this team... There's gotta be someone in the d league.

Porzingis is a decent defender for a rookie. That will only improve with time as he learns the tricks of the trade and learns from his own mistakes.
Durant plays defense well enough to not hurt his team and to have the advantage 1 on 1. He's not gonna get abused. Neither is Kristaps. I think when we're talking about star calibre players that's all you really need.
That's kind of incorrect.

He lost alot of the weight as a result of how he's been playing and the increased minutes.

His metabolism might be superhuman. Same with Durant, probably can't keep real weight on.
Porzingis was dropping weight fast — but found breakfast cure | New York Post
ehhh...He gained 11 and then lost 5 but he's maintained that weight. It's still a heavier weight than when he was drafted. He's trying to go up to 245 in the offseason....if he can hold it at 240 I think that's good enough for him to begin to play center more consistently.

Even though Shump and J.R were traded last year without Melo's blessing...

I don't see the Knicks trading away Afflalo w/o Melo's okay. Of course, unless it's an offer we can't refuse.

Someone who can play great d, we really need to bolster our backcourt. People were saying over last fa we needed a 3 and d shooting guard and they're right, off the top of my head I can't think of any premier defender at the 2 we could get. Jimmy butler would be good but that ain't happening. I'd even settle for someone that plays straight d as we can get scoring from other positions and the bench.

Brehs...Brehs....

Don't get me wrong, I was not trying to be antagonistic. I actually wanted yall to make me feel confident about wanting that to happen.

It;s a VERY scary prospect that would make the league VERY...VERY interesting.

Imagine KP strong enough to play Center though. :wow:

He's not going to be able to play center full time for a few years.

I don't think Knick fans should worry about his strength much, he'll get there eventually, but you don't want him to bulk up too much. What makes him so special is the lateral mobility at his size, that is extremely rare and allows him to play PF. If he plays center you need to think outside the box in how you build the team around him.

I think yall overrating Teague, to be honest. He's good, but he's not give up a large amount of assets good. Only reason he made the all-star team is because Atlanta had a fluke good year.

With that being said, he is obviously an upgrade over Calderon, but I'm not sure how I feel about his contract eating into the cap for the summer though.

The best case scenario is Calderon is moved out for Teague coming in. Also yeah I agree with you Teague isn't that great of a PG but his contract is basically the same as Calderon's which means the knicks could still shop in the 2017 FA that is full of PG's...... or they could use that last cap bump space that year on something else and them use Teague's bird rights to re-sign Teague.

:jbhmm: From a cap perspective if they can move Calderon and take back Teague potentially its a great deal because it gives them potential to Go over the cap (one last time with Melo) whereas before they were stuck adding players up to the cap.
