When KP, Gallo, and Grant plays poorly defensively or offensively, it's the coach and 'Melo's fault but Jose and Sasha can't be missing shots and defending poorly because they've either missed a lot of games or are old.
You want Gallo and Grant subbed for fatigue, but then you want them to play 48 mins because you don't want Sasha and Jose to play at all.
That's the gist of this thread when defense hasn't been the problem. For all this talk about defense, no one wants to admit that the defense has been solid for at least the last 3 games. The offense has been causing the losses and the guys taking the fewest shots are not the father. Neither is the coach. You won't win games scoring 84, 86, and 92 on 40% from the field, especially against elite teams. I don't care if you have perfect defense. No one seems to know that or have the ability to address it.
Yeah I'm not sure why fisher is so obsessed with that lineupBut the problem is that Jose isn't shooting at all. He's great at creating his own shot, but if he's not doing that, what's he in there for? He's not even penetrating. They're pretty much running a PG-less offense, so Jose needs to shoot. I understand that he's still the best PG on the team, but like myself and others have said, he and Sasha should never be on the floor for extended mins together. He can start Galloway along side of Jose or Sasha. Sasha is at least playing like he doesn't want to go back to playing ball for Slovenia..or wherever he was.
Fisher's rotations suck, and they don't work. He got lucky in Game 1, and even then everyone called him out on them. He doesn't have a clue.

Most of the article is on Sasha but the key point is Fisher is discussing changing the starting lineup. Though there is a chance he stays stubborn and decides not to since Afflalo is due back soon and he apparently feels that Calderon or Sasha as a outside shooters next to the starters (including Afflalo) in the lineup look Fisher keeps wants.
Galloway is making shots and deserves the starting role though. I understand Fisher has faith in that bench unit, but they need to find another guard to get minutes. Part of me wonders if maybe Sasha could do it now as they wait to see if the 3 guards in the D league (Trice, Jimmer, Thanasis) develop. Also once december comes they could definitely trade for a roleplaying sg as well.
Also I've been saying this all summer the knicks have a lot of attractive contracts that teams will look be willing to deal with just for cap reasons alone. Unfortunately Caldron isn't one of them
