Updates on trade talks:

The Knicks are one team to have very preliminary discussions regarding Teague, a person familiar with the situation told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Other media reports have named the Jazz and Bucks as potential suitors.

According to a person in the Hawks organization, the team has had many conversations about several players on their roster. According to the person, the organization has yet to decide whether a roster move is necessary or whether there is an available upgrade at any starting position.

For the Hawks, Al Horford and Kent Bazemore will become unrestricted free agents at the end of the season. Teague is under contract through next season at cap-friendly $8 million per season. Schroder is under contract with a qualifying offer through 2017-18.

The Hawks are currently third in the Eastern Conference with a 27-19 record. They trail only the Cavaliers (5-1/2 games) and the Raptors (3 games). They are largely intact from the team that advanced to the Eastern Conference finals last season. Teams look at the Hawks as a roster that has potentially two starting point guards, making them a team worth investigating potential trades.

Atlanta Hawks say no trade imminent

I don't know why I'm so hung up on him...

But if we give Jerian Grant back to ATL, I'm chalking it up as a Coli-Related L for NY.

It just doesn't sit right with me.

I saw three proposed trades for Teague and they made me sick to my stomach for some reason.

And I know...you have to give to get but still...

In other news, I really hope we get a W tonight. I want Grant to get better mins also.

Speaking of Comic book characters...

I'm going to to take the bat signal out and ask for the perspective of one of this forum's sages...

@I.V. Thoughts on Jeff Teague and, if you think he'd be a positive addition to the Knicks, what would you give up for him?

I'm gonna dream and reach a bit but imagine walking into next year with this squad
Teague
Batum
Melo
KP
Lopez
That's a squad that can seriously contend:wow:

That'd be a nightmare squad for opponents...I'd throw Kent Bazemore's name out there as a potential target too, depending on the prices of the two.

I'm still disappointed, but I believe NY can win a game here and there without him because they've gotten a good amount of experience playing without him. I'm not saying they will win, but I think they can, especially if Lowry doesn't play. They know they need this game after having dropped so many lately. Plus, they will be motivated after coming up short in every game without him and they were really disappointed about the OKC loss.

AA needs to snap out of his shooting slump for this one. That's a tall order because Derozan and Ross are tough defenders who I assume will be on him all night. I can't see us winning without him showing up on the box score in a big way. Containing Joseph and Derozan is a must and I'd look to establish one of our bigs in the deep post early and often to open up the outside space more for cutters and shooters.
