exactly. the kids aren't yours so you can't tell them to do anything unless she gives you permission. basically you're powerless in your own home if it goes that far and she has all the power. those kids likely aren't gonna receive you well or at the very least will receive you worse than they would if you were their biological father. its gonna be a constant stream of battles you'll have to fight.

if this becomes your ready made family and you try to give someone else's kids guidance chances are they will reject your authority or put their mother against you for their own advantage. you'll always have that hanging over your head. your authority over them will always be given to you through her and not of your own.

if i'm 10 and my dad beats my ass for being bad i gotta accept that but if some guy that isn't my father but wants to play that role does it i can turn my mother against him and there's nothing he can do. he doesn't define how i'm raised she does.

3 years and it was alright, she never asked me for money, her son was well mannered and funny as hell. She was a good woman which is why i stick for single mothers. Of course we wasnt no family, but we did go to chuckie cheese alot the pizza

Opinions on this will change with age. The older you guys get, its less likely you will find a woman without a child or two. Since most of you are players you won't be looking for a serious relationship until what.. late 20's to mid 30's? By then most of the chicks you will encounter will have children.
