Once I realized satan in the Bible was a cool dude I stop believing in them ducktales

Bruh just was trying to give knowledge and got cast away

Nah tho I realized all that shyt was duck tales since a small kid man. And as I did more research I saw the real and truth bullshyt behind it.

It’s a form of control.

and to op question if you a non believer then no way you can fake it to get to heaven if god can read your mind and heart(bullshyt), so I decided to live my life without all that extra bullshyt. I’m not a warm person, so I don’t need an imaginary person to carry me
Respect your answer.

And when did I ask brehs to fake it to make it?
That is nowhere in my question..

I Was asking brehs why not have a little bit of faith that he exists..without having all the Science or whatever..

What do you believe is the benefit to an atheist taking a "chance" and believing? What do you think they'd get out of it that's missing from their life? What's the benefit in believing in the afterlife and not putting all of one's energy into the life they have now? What's the benefit in believing in the existence of a God that controls everything?
I broke it down as a kid to basically "spend 1 day a week worshiping an unseeable being for your entire life, on the off-off-off-off-off chance that after you die, you live forever."

"Hey, give me 1/7th of your money for your entire life, and after you die, I'll give you infinite money. "

Read Kierkegaard. One of his central theses is the act of being a 'true' believer is dependent upon making a 'leap of faith'.

Also, if God is so-called omnipotent, if I choose to believe in God merely out of some statistical gambit, then that God would obviously know I'm not really a 'true' believer, and I'd go to hell anyways. It's nonsensical. You can't just trick omnipotent deities into salvation, ask how that worked for Prometheus and Tartarus, it has to be a legitimate faith. Allegedly.
Oh..

I believe in God for many reasons.

I.believe he deserves to be worshipped..
I believe he is my creator.
I also believe I've been gifted with the Holy Spirit.

Why would God make us just for us to praise and worship him?

Sounds like something an evil dictator would do doesn't it?

If I’m already an atheist and don’t have a full break thru I would clearly be in church faking it bro. I can sit in there not believing anything in it just to save face for others, but if it’s a god then he gonna know “this dummy Aint listening or believing anything they say”

Never implied it...

My question is why not have a little bit of faith.

You and others are bringing in other stuff into this for reasons I'm unaware of...
I mean, the basic question is: why don't you have a little faith in Zoroaster, or Allah, or Vishnu, or Yami, or Zeus, or Jupiter, or any of the other countless gods, messiahs, and prophets that differ from your own?

As others pointed out, this 'wager' only really works if you assume that there's only a single possible God and it's a binary choice. Which it's not. There's been thousands, if not millions, of different gods throughout history. A lot of them conflict with each other and explicitly forbid worshiping others, so you have to make a choice. Most people who choose to believe in 'a' god, don't believe in 99.999% of other gods, so they're atheists regarding the vast majority of possible deities. Atheists just go the extra step and also don't believe in that other .0001%.

My question is why not have a little bit of faith.

What's this "little bit of faith" shyt? Nothing I've seen of Christianity--and believe me, I didn't start as an atheist--leads me to believe God rewards a "little bit of faith"; it's all or nothing.

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."--Revelation 3:15-16

One of the things that I have grappled with the most as a Christian is understanding the implications of the crucifixion.

Christ’s sacrifice is said to have been the sufficient atonement for the sin of the world. Sins past, present, and future. The sins of all of humanity.

With that in mind, Christ is called the new Adam.

If Adam’s act of disobedience allowed for sin to enter into the entirety of the human race, without humanity needing to have faith or belief in Adam, or a choice in the matter, if Christ is to be the new Adam, the parallel would be that his act of salvation is accorded to all of the human race, whether or not humanity has faith or belief in him, or have a choice in the matter.

The New Testament proclaims that salvation is a gift. A gift is freely given without any work needing to be done or any contingencies.

The nature of faith is two pronged for me. Faith is belief + action which makes it a work. The action part makes it a work. Which means faith isn’t just belief, there has to be action behind it.

The New Testament states that salvation is a gift, by faith, from God, and not a work that any man can boast was earned.

I have a problem with this because faith is essentially a work.

I don’t know, this is something that I’ve grappled with.

If Christ is to be the new Adam, if an atheist inherited sin without faith in the first Adam, Christ’s atonement means that they should equally inherit salvation without needing to have faith in the 2nd Adam.
its because the tree of the knowledge of good and evil only results in death

consider this

the word of God is like seed. If you took the entire bible as seed for your understanding of existence which passages would you lean on to develop your reality and understanding of God?

this in essence is the quandary of all abrahamists...

This is why its so important to really consider the word of God as alive and not just something dead or a tool used and discarded (the word is risen)

if you read the Bible ONLY at its surface value then you have already made a massive mistake.

Ask yourself this, if man can write what will happen to God, then by inverse how would God view this activity with regards to the words of man?
