He's not an OLB.

Might as well trade him since S Rich is our main DT/DE outside of Mo Wilk

He's not an OLB. I never thought that would be a good fit for him. 4-3 DE or a DT is where he is best suited IMO.

Agreed. Problem is where do we put him now?

We drafted Richardson, and he's taken his spot. Nowhere to put him, unless we wanna have a rotation of D-Lineman I suppose
Any chance of moving to a 4-3 scheme?

Eh, it's a possibility. But I'm not sure how the pieces would work in a 4-3, especially with the D-Line. We would also need a Ted LB to play alongside David Harris, since Demario Davis would be an OLB in a 4-3 scheme.

This conversion to a base 4-3 has been talked about for a couple years, but has never really come to fruition. Don't expect anything to change until Rex is gone and somebody else in running our D

Might as well trade an unblockable monster?
Dude is a monster in the interior but wa asked to lose 25 pounds to play out of position.

I like him inside playing the 3 more like he was here his rookie season

So basically he's a wasted pick unless you trade him for something

The problem was the jets continuing to draft d lineman and changing their defense moving him out of position.

This dude isn't even grown manning dudes like he did last year playing the line losing that weight. This dude was throwing around pro bowlers in the interior like they were kids.

He's an interior linemen that got caught on a team who uses high draft picks on interior linemen every year. The move to OLB was an effort to keep him on the team. He's also just not all that good and didnt seem to be a coaches favorite- with Rex or Bowles.
