Nothing more annoying than me paying all this money for rent and all this money for secure, heated and covered parking only for the damn gate to be broke. Not once did I care to stop someone from coming in either. I have no clue who the fukk you are to know if you are supposed to be here or not. If it was a concern, I wouldve just stopped at the front desk and tell them security might want to check it out then go about my day.

One time my gate sensor fell under my seat one day and I didn't realize it until I got to my entrance gate and it wouldn't open. As I was fumbling around looking for it, someone behind me got out and said "Are you a resident?" I said yeah. He asked "Is the gate broken." I said, no my sensor fell under the seat. Dude went back, got his sensor and waved it in front of mine so I could get in. Its not a big fukking deal. If he went to security after that to mention the situation and maybe check to make sure im good to be there, I wouldn't be bothered by it at all because thats what you are supposed to do if you are uncertain. Not think this is your own personal garage and that no one else is supposed to be there.

Facts. That lady had all the right in the world to be concerned. The issue is, she confronted the wrong person about it. She has proper channels to go through if she feels an unauthorized person is supposed to be there. She can contact building security or the concierge. If she is concerned past that, she can contact the police. She is not entitled to police people who enter the building. Her residence is in her unit, not the parking garage.

Typically those type of garages have a garage door sensor AND a gate arm sensor once you're inside because the garage door opens for a very long time and the arm sensor ensures that only one car can go through at a time because of the garage door being open for longer. This building looks to only have the garage door for access. Personal experience lets me know that all the residents pull in behind each other if they are close. No one is waiting 15sec for the garage door to close before they pull in just because someone else drove through first. I guarantee you that. This isn't multiple cars trying go under the lift gate. Its multiple cars going through the garage door, which is common and expected.

I live in a building with a private garage. This dude delivering food was trying to get in the elevator with me and go deliver the food from there(you need to use keyfob to use elevator from the garage). I did not let him in the elevator and told him to walk to the building lobby and have the concierge coordinate with customer.

When you gain parking privileges your car's make, model and registration is provided to management and that is forwarded to any security and tow trucks as well that monitors the garage. Especially if the garage has reserved parking. It is the responsibility of the building/garage company to control access, not a resident. Thats why me and @Double Burger With Cheese are saying that if you believe it to be a cause for concern, you let the concierge know and they will have make sure the proper people are contacted to investigate. And you do not know what the buildings protocols are. Case in point, this garage could be AUTOMATIC and there is NO GARAGE SENSOR. They may determine who is authorized to be there by the registration and reserved parking. In fact after looking at the garage photos, this entrance is 100% automatic. I thought it was odd that they kept referring to the garage sensor as a "fob" because none of the buildings I lived at calls them "fobs". Fobs are the small sensors on your keychain to enter interior doors for the building. This makes even more sense now that after they pull into the garage, the white girl is asking the black girl to show her the INTERIOR DOOR FOB because the garage does not require a garage door opener to gain access. The white girl just stops, and blocks entrance of the garage then asks the woman to show her interior door fob. This is even MORE ridiculous than the video suggests.

I do not have my fob with me all the time because we have concierge. They will see me, recognize me as a resident and buzz me in regardless. This happens mostly when I go to the gym and I don't want to bring my keys.
