How do we not support our own and you just posted a comment about UGK getting support?:what:

The subject matter is WHY THE WU SUPPORT MOSTLY COME FROM WHITE FOLKS

I wasnt talking about black artists in general

I was speaking of those with more of a esoteric conscious slant.......

Comprehend?

Every alive n!gga you just pointed out have shows that are predominantly white. And where the fvck you getting that these young black kids don't "look up" to Wu? Must be why Drake and crews like Asap make videos and songs dedicated to and paying homage to them. Must be why Chris Brown performed rocking gear Raekwon was rocking in an old Wu video. Must be why Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and several relevant artists have named dropped them in their raps and artists still seek several Wu members for verses. You don't know what the fvck you're talking about. Stop it.
Hahahahahsha. Okay man. Name dropping and loving are two different things. I'll let you nikkas believe in this bullshyt. You're so damn stubborn hahahaha. Being name dropped doesn't mean you're relevant. It just means people know of you. I could find Rakim references in raps or anyone else. It does not mean that you're perceived the same way. This is literally shyt that can only happen on the internet. Them Wu nikkas would laugh at you for asserting this shyt.

Whatever, Black people make Black artists famous in the first place, then cacs jump on the bandwagon. If they can't acknowledge this then fukk 'em. Trying to guilt trip Black people into supporting your music 40 years after you dropped your first record is corny.

Yup....this describes the whole dynamic between 40's/50's R&B, the chitlin circuit with a black audience and when it got popular with whites and mainstream it became Rock N Roll. In Rap, early gangsta rap and more recently, 50 cent are great examples of bubbling in the black community and then after white discovery, exploding in the mainstream.

Most white people have/had no idea what Wu-Tang was talking about though. Your avg north eastern USA street (black) dudes were probably the only cat's who could understand them. If anything, it was the Kung-Fu element that attracted white people in, not the lyrics and subject matter.

As a person that goes to shows multiple times a month. I'm making a comparison.

For example. I went down to AC to see fabolous perform, crowd was pretty much exclusively black and Dominican/ricans. Then I went to see inspectah deck and I was one of the only black people there.

nikkas in here insist on arguing with me like I'm not aware that white folks are the main consumers of hip hop and all genres of music. Some artists have more more of a white fan base than others

Breh, you cant possibly believe Fab is on the same level as Wu. All HUGE Hip Hop acts have predominantly white audiences.

it's because Fab isn't that big. He's the HipHop equivalent of a chitlin circuit performer whereas Deck has a whiter draw by association with the Wu-Tang and as one of the top members.

I was at Ghost/Rae OB4CL tour last year and my GF and myself were definitely in the minority. This was HOB Chicago.

I will say the crowd's median age was probably OLDER than most hip-hop fan bases though.

years ago last Ghost show I went to half the crowd was latino , but most of the crowd had to be in their 30s

Since cacs have no culture, they're willing to shell out money for anything that seems "exotic" to them. Most white boys get into rap with the need to compensate for the lack a masculine male role model, they use the Black man as a surrogate father figure until they realise they can hide behind their whiteness again.

I think a lot of suburban white kids go thru that "rebellious" stage like ages 13-18/19 and get into rap bc they know their parents will hate it. They start to adapt an urban style of dress and speak slang and try to hang out in the hood and shyt like that.

Wu Tang Forever:salute:
smoke sherm blunts why cacs brehs

The wu was booked to perform at an HBCU in a majority black city Savaannah Georgia but show got cancelled cause UGK was performing on that same date and the attention was on them

Method Man constantly said how the reception to him is never good in Atlanta and this is the "black mecca"

So lets cut the crap and realize that our tastes in music ha been defined by skeezers..hoes..ratchets..hot girls ....thots....and single babymamas

Whom in the words of chuck d

"Just wanna live thier life not hear all dat black bullshyt"

:manny:

Stop making excuses and start holding ourselves accountable

WE DONT SUPPORT OUR OWN
or maybe the fans in the south love they regional artist more than they loved a NY artist :dwillhuh: that's not that hard to comprehend. That's like saying why would a mc eight concert in the 90s sell out on the west coast over a Nas concert. U in the heart of the south.

ALL major rap acts...ALL...have a mostly white fan base that packs their shows and purchase their music and merchandise. You can't name one MAJOR rap act that doesn't have a predominantly white fan base.

And this 24/7 video game playing nerd still can't name the MAJOR hip hop act that doesn't have a predominantly white fanbase.
