that's 3 rappers out of how many rappers in history? Yes there are more... But the MAJORITY fizzle out after 1 album, if that... let alone 5 years

Majority of rappers are not considered all time greats... EM is widely considered Top 5 right? compare his resume to the Nas and Jay Z's of the world, and its not a comparison.

top 5 what?? I don't see Em top 5 on any rap lists unless it's ONLY lyrics

You always gotta give Big and Pac two slots... Jay and or Nas is gonna get one.. Rakim... Mix and match to throw in a west coast artist if you feel like it

but NEVER do I see Em getting that top 5 unless we going on some "who would win" type shyt

I'm still wondering why Em won't make music with Rakim or any other rapper who respects him. Instead he follows these record labels' orders and makes pop rap. I know there's a market for that stuff, but for a person who "respects'' the artform as much he should be making tracks with guys who paved the way for him.

Never forget: "Ridaz" and "Session One" were Recovery bonus tracks. "Groundhog Day," "Don't Front," "Baby," and "Wicked Ways" were MMLP2 bonus tracks. Alchemist made beats for Revival and none of them were used. The best song on Revival was a remix that wasn't even on the album. :unimpressed:

I really wonder what his next album is going to sound like. Kamikaze was the album that I believe he was trying to make for a long time, but he'll probably sneak in a Skylar Grey song as the lead single anyway. :francis:

Yea he’ll eventually mess up this upcoming album as well, Kamikaze was a step in the right direction especially after that trash Revival album but he’s not saying much. He had to respond to the critics to get some kind of inspiration back which shows he is out of touch with reality. He needs to focus on his signees on Shady like Conway, Boogie etc.

That's exactly where I am. I think he should do more interviews with people he trusts like Sway because it's a lot more interesting to hear him talk than hear him rap. And I haven't liked a single guest verse from him this year, with all those :trash: punchlines.

The Feature he did for Conway grew on me but he needs to stop all that double time stuff cramming a bunch of words, it’s not really impressive anymore. Everyone knows he can rap til the beat stops, I think he has nothing to rap about anymore he might as well call it quits :manny:we need a pure hip hop album from him without double time flows and bad punchlines. He also needs to make music with legends he has praised. He can get any producer in his arsenal and he chooses himself :snoop:judging from the interviews he can’t take criticism lightly. We’ll see what we get from him this time around.

Em can rap his ass off, but it's kinda like rating Kenny G vs actual jazz greats. Kenny G's runs could be amazing on a technical level, but they are soulless.

Em has never spit anything that gave me the screw face. Plenty of his shyt has made me go, oh that's clever though.

Yet Eminem has 0 quotables
:yeshrug:

You couldn't sell two copies if you pressed a double album

Cause if I ever stuck it to any singer in showbiz
It'd be Jennifer Lopez and, Puffy, you know this
I'm sorry, Puff, but I don't give a fukk
If this chick was my own mother, I'd still fukk her with no rubber
And cum inside her and have a son and a new brother at the same time
And just say that it ain't mine—what's my name?

This whole battle was mismatched, like your outfit

I don't care if Jesus Christ, Jah and Buddha called Eminem a beast, he still trash and the most overrated rapper ever. Rakim the God MC but I'd put money that he couldn't spit an Eminem verse if his life depended on it.

Rakim, like all rappers who are questioned about Em in public forums, don't want that smoke from Eminem's rabid fanbase if they're 100% honest. It's career suicide. Eminem is one of my favorite rappers, but to keep it a buck, he's just great at rhyming words and cracking jokes. When those words are not paired with a Dre or Bass Brothers beat, you get mixed results. When those words are paired with a pop star, you get mixed results. When he's trying to blend rock and rap or try to be overly motivational, you get mixed results.

Songs like Dont Front or that freestyle with Tim Westwood is what I would like to see more of.
