Because you do have the means, I mean
if Rubio is as good as you think he is teams would be lining up to get him + LaVine in a package. You have young talent that you could package with Rubio to bring back another PG
If he's as good as I think he is, I'm not getting rid of him, and I'm not getting rid of him, for guys that will not amount to shyt, which is an inevitability no matter who you deal.
Worst case scenario he's already better than Rubio. Fam, you're talking about Rubio like he's the sole reason you win games
How'd they do without him? We can't function without the guy.
So he's injury prone ontop of not being able to shoot? Adelman didn't want him on the floor because he cannot shoot period, look around the league and you'll see that PGs that can't shoot get benched in close games. So you think Rubio's value will only get you back a "guaranteed bum" in return?
He's not injury prone. Had he not gotten hurt (in either instance, the outcomes are much different). If he's so mediocre, how did HIS injury become the catalyst to the team saying "fukk it" and blowing it all up this season?"
So to remedy Rubio out of 4th quarters he put WORSE shooters on the court?
If we're just getting picks, we're getting a bum. For the 100th time, you trust Flip, that's on you. Flip hasn't knowingly made a good draft pick since he's come back.
Rookies tend to do that, isn't it kind of a bad look for the Wolves if their best player is a PG that can't shoot, in fact he's so bad at shooting that the young rookie they have on their team now that you say isn't a basketball player is already a better shooter? Seriously, both Wiggins and LaVine are better jump shooters than him ALREADY, that shyt is mindblowing to me.
Great ones don't. Kobe wasn't shy. T-Mac wasn't shy. Wesbrook wasn't shy. Durant wasn't shy. Bron wasn't shy. Isn't that who he'd have to be for this team to get to a level you deem satisfactory?
Actually Zach is pretty bad at it too. He wasn't shooting above 40% from the field or above 30 from 3 til the last few games.
How many rookies have positively impacted games in the last 10 years? I mean you're asking for something that pretty much doesn't happen. If Rubio is the future of that team you're in for a world of trouble, there isn't a PG in the league like him leading their team to wins, at least you can draw parallels to players like Wiggins being built around, Rubio though? not a single one.
Ricky had us in a playoff hunt his first year on a lockout season. I wasn't asking Wiggins to do that, but as it stands now, take Ricky off that team and Wiggins might not get 60 wins during the duration of his rookie deal.
And I don't mean to make this an indictment on Wiggins in any way, but this season doesn't present much in the way of concrete hope that he'll be the player you think he'll be. It's still all potential and wishful thinking at the moment that I hope you're right on (potential and wishful thinking I really wish I didn't have to put up with anymore. 10+ years of this shyt, I'll just assume they all suck until they stop sucking. That's as fair as I can be with these kids. Harsh maybe but you can't relate to the bullshyt I've had to put with regarding this team)
You're not opposed to changing as long as it's not Rubio, that's what I don't get, I think you'd even trade Wiggins before him. Like I said, there are a gang of PGs better than him, you cannot tell me this dude is anything close to a franchise player.
There's 3 players I wouldn't deal period. Rubio, Wiggins, Bazz. That's it. Why? They're not gonna get another one. I highly doubt we'll ever get a player that can impact the W-L column. Until Wiggins does that I won't assume he will. I can hope. I can even expect, but I'm done assuming with these guys.
