Random NBA Observations 2019 - 2020

Since Portland signed Melo they've lost to the 4-9 Pelicans and 4-12 Cavaliers.....He's shooting 34% from the field....That's not getting it done...I understand Melo sat out nearly a full year...But you can't complain about being blackballed from the league then shoot 34% and play poor defense in your first 3 games back. It's not as if he's returning from an injury like P.George or L.James....I was all for Portland signing Melo. Hopefully, he can regain his form on offense before Portland's season spirals out of control.

Have you watched the games?

His first game was bad poor shooting and lots of turnovers and Melo’s usual defense. But he was a -1 and a +2 in his second and third games. He hasn’t shot it well but he honestly doesn’t look that bad out there and it’s too early to even cite his efficiency stats. Also, Melo hasn’t played professional basketball in a long time and is starting at 30+ minutes out the gate.

Portland was already a bad team before he joined. They severely miss Harkless and Aminu’s defense and they’ve had injuries to Lillard and their frontcourt. Melo wasn’t really what the Blazers needed.
