1st Round Playoff Exits
On NBA XM yesterday they were doing hot takes and one of them was 'Blazers upset the Lakers in the first round, largely because of the Melo addition making the Lakers regret not signing him'...

I like it, sign me up...

:banderas:
A healthy blazers squad could be dangerous as fukk. :picard:

Imagine how much better we'll be with Nurkic and Collins back.

NBA got the worst analysts and reporters. You have 3 people up there with 0 athletic bone in their body tryin to talk about a game theyve never played

This same dikkhead was talking mad shyt about melo being a bust, unable to play, when he signed wit the blazers....

Some cacs are so insufferable.

The reality is like mentioned above, a few posts up, by @Mr. Jack Napier and @Youngdev , OKC and Houston were bad fits for melo due to the style of play....

He was never really integrated or utilized in a way conducive to his strengths. He just looked out of place on both teams. Now dude looks like comfortable and way better than I ever saw him in OKC....

Not going front he looked like garbage in OKC, but it's more so because they were trying run and gun....
You have an obese cac trying to talk about a game he has 0 idea about, add along 2 cacettes whove never played the game. Just compare the NFL shows on espn full of ex players with knowledge vs NBA who has these garbage reporters.

@Gil Scott-Heroin he actually watches film and breaks it down, unlike us on the coli, so his opinion is far better than ours :troll:

NFL isn't much better breh. They got Jay Glazer calling shyt, and that dikkhead never played a down either.

ESPN long steered away from informative content and professionalism, you should've first noticed the cracks when LeBron moved to Miami and they catapulted Windhorst to your TV screen and fed you his basketball background, wanting you know those titties touched a court. Add in Skip/SAS bringing ratings in the mornings with loud controversial opinions instead of actual facts and the billionaire pasty calculator pushers talking down on actual experience with analytics and you get what you've got, anybody and everybody gets air time as long as you feed the content mill.

They aren't calling this Kyrie shyt for what it is which is a witch hunt. Dude been left the team months ago and even current Celtic players are tired of hearing about it, yet every week Boston/national media wants their pound of flesh with a new story. He was due backlash because of how things went but they want to teach a lesson at this point, you don't burn the team with rich cac history. A reputable organization would've apologized for Shelbourne's comments, not let her send out some a little tweet and go about her day. They also would've yanked her off duties for a little bit, it's still business as usual. And that was such a weird story and a weird time for it, even if it's true ESPN marginalized racism and used it for a storyline to sell a game instead of reporting shyt as it was learned.

And lastly NFL coverage has way more substance, you have some commentators with their two cents but that's all sports. The actual pros get the last word on top of getting way more air time breaking the game down thoroughly, prime example being any game Romo calls. The NBA's problem is the majority care more about rumors than the actual product, which gives more an opening for people who've used their fingers writing more than their legs in sports.

Sad state of affairs all around and it hurts the product.

I’m not sold on the Lakers just yet, they’ve had a fairly easy schedule to start the season. They’re current 10 game win streak is against teams with losing records.

They’ve only played 5 teams above .500 and they are 3-2, but they are 14-0 against teams below .500 which is amazing because those are the games you have to win.

And a lot of those games against below 500 teams were extremely close.

I noticed that too. NBA need the Lakers at the top to keep people interested.

The Lakers schedule so far has been light.

You play who is in front of you. Before the season every one was how much parity the league was gonna have this year. So you could lose to whoever regardless of record. Look at the clippers lastnight. So say what you want 14-0 is still 14-0 especially when you been playing night in and out on the road.
