I don't think it particularly matters if the Lakers schedule has been easy or not; the discourse around it is largely irrelevant.

What should be the point of emphasis is that they've got arguably the best defensive personnel, combined with the greatest game-manager to ever play the game, and another top 5/10 player who's one of the most skilled big men in the league.

The Lakers are legit.

Pacers need to stop BSing and flip Sabonis for some assets, especially since you don’t know the certainty of Oladipo

Shots haven’t fell but I have liked how aggressive Ben has been offensively. Need to see that more.

Lakers have had a relatively light schedule but you can’t take away the fact that they’re dominating and/or winning against opponents they’re supposed to beat.

In an NBA game anyone can get got, especially if teams get hit from 3. You see how last night the Clippers got caught sleeping and got smoked, or when the Lakers got whooped by an undermanned Raptors squad.

The Lakers had a few lucky wins, but they’re pulling out W’s and creating some cushion for themselves. We’re not sure how they perform against upper tier teams yet, but it’s pretty clear both LA teams are top 3 in the NBA.

This is probably true, but it’s good for the league (revenue and marketing-wide) that the Lakers are on top again.

Even with the soft schedule there was no guarantee the Lakers would look this good this early.
I can’t say dominating. They’ve been in dog fights with a lot of bad teams
