That would be a very short-sighted move
They are going to miss out on Kemba's prime then, they have been ignoring going all in and missed out on PG, Jimmy, Kawhi, and AD. Not asking them to trade their main pieces (Tatum/Brown/Smart)

This assumes that
A) Detroit would want Hayward, especially assuming that he could opt out and leave with a historically weak FA class
B) The Celtics would be willing to be paying maxes to Drummond, Kemba & Tatum, while also paying $20+ million per year to Brown
C) Drummond is even a difference maker, because I don’t know if you’ve seen the tape, but Embiid regularly cooks him too. So if he’s supposed to the secret weapon then label me a skeptic

Adams is making $25M. Gonna have to get creative to get him.

That's why I said it is a long shot, deal can also happen in the Summer if Drummond does not want to return and Pistons want something out of him. I agree I would not trade their main pieces for him other than Hayward and picks. Pistons would have to be in a position where they feel like they are losing Drummond for nothing to make this move, and ready for rebuild.

For your 2nd point, you gotta pay good price if you want to go all the way in. Celtics have a good team missing a big, Drummond would fill that role and I think he would be a much better fit on a team with many other offensive options. For Pistons, he is asked to be their top 2 guy and he is not that.

No one is stopping Embiid by himself, Drummond would be a better option than Kanter though.

All their deals would have to start with Hayward and picks, gotta convince a team to take a chance at Hayward and he can turn it around. I have watched Adams a bit this season..he looks slow and not good at all.
