What can the NBA do if the clippers are showing the NBA Kawhi medical information???
Networks will be coming at the NBA wanting to know the games he is scheduled to miss. It was a mistake sitting this game out vs tomorrow because its about to set off a chain of events that could have been avoided if he sits out tomorrow

I can't take your opinion on seriously, when you're son biasedly on Shai's stick it's not even funny breh.

I don't even think rode this hard for the Raptors....

No disrespect to Shai though, the kid is nice

I am a Shai fan correct but if the Clippers dont win a championship and Kawhi or PG leaves in 2 years how is that a win for them ?

They cant do anything...its a degenerative quad he has to sit out 15-20 games each year...Raptors sports and science doctor wrote the playbook,Clips are just following it....If he plays 82 games he wont be healthy in the playoffs....Only thing that was dumb was Doc announcing in pre season there was no load management, there was no reason to do that.

Nothing, the NBA agreed with Kawhi with the statement they released today.

The only solution to this is to stop back 2 backs, or have Kawhi release his resting schedule publicly so fans dont buy tickets.

:mjlol: neither one is leaving. Breh if they make it to the WCF or the finals that still a win.

Kawhi just won a championship & still said fukk running it back even for 1 more year & left. PG signed a 4 year deal & 1 year in asked to be traded. If there was ever a combo of guys who could just change their minds. it's those 2 :yeshrug:

The only real consequence which actually will hurt the players pockets as whole is the next TV deal with ESPN will be at a lower number...assuming this keeps happening during the season.

Fans if they have brains should have an idea that hes going to miss a game on a B2B but him sitting out a home game on ESPN instead of a road game thats not on national TV is really the problem....Clippers are screwing there own fanbase.

I dont think a single player will, if this was a league wide thing I can see it but so far its just Kawhi and NBA is backing him

I mean if ESPN determines LM is related to there ratings bein down then you could see the salary cap come down as a result of a smaller TV deal which would affect the players salaries as whole probably not the stars tho...thats the only consequence if any could come from this...and thats if it persists all year...

Every-time a player does this load management bs with no injury they should get 0s across their stat line. If you choose not to play your legacy should suffer

It's a player's league and you have to remember that so I disagree that it's more so on the Clippers. I'd even argue it's Kawhi's program and not the Clippers since he was operating like this in San Antonio. The difference is the Spurs established he and Dennis weren't going to control operations while the Raptors and Clippers are willing to put up with anything to be relevant.

It might sound like I'm upset that he's missing games but that's not the case, we agree he probably can't play a full season. He was well rested heading into the playoffs and still broke down towards the end of the conference finals, wasn't the same but held it together for the finals.

I think the difference between our points is you're talking about it from a league/playoffs standpoint and me from the fans. I'm in November, I don't give a shyt about April, May or June right now and I'm your revenue so I matter more than some designated sick days. And if I bought a ticket I bought it to see dude, I wasn't told at the time of purchase he wasn't going to play. So it's a sticky situation the league has to figure out and the solution isn't to allow it to keep happening.

Naw, Kawhi has a condition for the rest of his life. If he wants to sit and contain himself then I understand. He has a obligation to clipper fans and if he’s able to bring them a ring under these circumstances then it’s whatever. Spurs started this whole “player management” shyt so if it backfired on them, then oh well. I understand your perspective but I’m looking at it from a players perspective too. He brought Toronto a ring under those circumstances so it is what it is at the end of the day. He’s not obligated to play and if clippers fans feel any type of way then that’s on them
