Something is going to have to give. Players can’t have it both ways. They can’t complain and sit out games because an 82 game season is too long, yet not want to give up a full season because it equals less money. Either condense the season and try to make up the revenue elsewhere or play the season.

It’s rather fukked to expect fans to pay full prices for tickets then have star players sit out at the last minute. The NBA more than any other league is player driven and marketed, so they can’t be surprised and upset when people start complaining about it.

They already have an issue of declining viewership and attendance to deal with and star players sitting out during primetime games will only make it worse.

The players wouldn’t want to give up the revenue that comes along with a reduced season. Even then, you’ll still have players sitting out for load management.
They gone learn when the cable companies pull that money back. They wanna be paid for 82 games but only wanna play 65:unimpressed:

Then not only that they choose to load manage at the worst times, this fool Kawhi wanna sit out against Giannis but then suits up the very next night against Portland :unimpressed:

Future generations of NBA players will pay the price for this foolishness .

They are expecting that gambling money to swoop in and save the day.

Not to mention the fact that ESPN and TNT bid against themselves and overpaid for the rights in the first place.
