Simmons won't even back down IT :snoop:

This is why I shake my head at anyone thinking "If Brett Brown would just move Simmons to PF he'd be fine!!!!!" The dude has absolutely no post moves whatsoever, not even the most rudimentary jump hook or up and under. So he won't be collapsing any defense ever if he can't even back 6 foot guards down. And the entire reason he's being moved into the frontcourt in this hypothetical to begin with is because of his inability to shoot from anywhere... so he can't be a stretch 4 at the position either. You move him to the 4 and you will have zero offense generated from that position at all times straight up; you'd be playing 4 on 5 every minute of every game he's stuck there. :pachaha::unimpressed:

I'm just simply saying that Brook Lopez - a player who once upon a time primarily played with his back to the basket and wasn't a notable rim/paint protector, eventually became one of the best 3-pt shooting big men and a legitimate defensive presence in the paint. Nobody would've thought that was even possible over the first half of his career.

That's what's crazy about it, as very few players change their identity/player makeup to that degree.

Because you're bullshytting ass nikka like @staticshock who runs around acting like he's watching the game when really he's only watching the box score?

The bolded...all these guys are highly talented. So yes he played in a different era that needed him to play that way. If he wanted to stay in the league adaption was key. So you're surprised a player changed his game to maintain a spot? You smarter than that.

To your second response.... Watch your mouth before I give you a wedgie like old times:ufdup:

Very few players actually change their spots; it's hard to break one's habits and change one's player-makeup, and that applies to everyday life, as we all reach a developmental stage where we don't change. And even fewer players change their spots and have success with it. Please enlighten me, how many players in the league have changed their games and had success while doing so to the degree that Lopez has?

All I'm doing is simply acknowledging that Lopez is an anomaly. I don't know why anyone would have an issue with what I said.....

Typical spurs possession

Demar penetrates, hesitates, pivots, passes

white/Murray penetrates, hesistates, passes back to Demar or LMA

rushed shot with 4 defenders in the paint

Rinse and repeat
