Nah you're looking at the game wrong. No matter what we have to be honest, lillard and cj are extreme liabilities on defense. Then it doesnt help that when whiteside steps up, no one covers or boxes out his man. That's why opponents always have a lot of offensive rebounds or 2nd chance points. It's looks like whiteside is slacking when you look at the stats and points in the paint...

But the fact that no one is boxing out is problematic as hell.

They don't play like a team.

Facts.. and that's always been our issue.. last year was the first time in like. 10 years we had some kinda Defense and rebounding ...

But fam.. He gets the ball in the interior and someone always swipes the ball away from him.. nikka will block shots... it feels like they never impactful...

Plus with bigs, its not just about blocking shots, its about the threat of blocking shots and contesting, which doesnt show up....

I mean he contest a lot of shots, but it doesn't help when he contests a shot, then someone comes behind him unguarded or contested, only to throw it down....

Nurk was good at doing playing a double role, but not acknowledge the blazers defensive scheme is faulty, is disingenuous.

That's why Whiteside plays his best with collins or skal at the 4.....

Skal is naturally a 4 and I prefer Collins at the 4, but he can play the 5.

We just need to make it to the allstar weekend.

Which is possible since we play the suns and knicks coming up.
