Not long enough.
And Naruto at its peak was masterful.
I still remember being in high school when the the rasenshuriken jutsu chapter came out. Consistent drops but it was so much demand for that chapter that people had to settle for the raw with the photoshopped translations.
Man those were the good ole days.. I miss reading Naruto every week.
I talked a lot of mess about Z in previous threads, but for all it's flaws, it still deserves that GOAT level respect, just because it was the first series of it's kind. There's just a universal appeal there that you don't find in a lot of works of fiction, period.
It was a little rough around the edges near the end, but the innovation and it's influence on all this other stuff that came after it is just
The 22nd Budokai (in the OG Dragonball) all the way through to the end of the Frieza arc has to be one of the GOAT stretches of storytelling in any series ever made.
Going through the tournament fights with Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien to the King Piccolo saga, then Piccolo jr, then the Saiyan, Namek, and Frieza sagas back to back is just![]()

agreed that stretch is 10/10 and I talk a lot of trash about dragon ball as a franchise.
