Might not be the worst anime but definitely the worst anime I tried to watch. Bleach is a close second but at least Ichigo is not as bad as Naruto. Show is filled with garbage filler episodes that offer absolutely nothing and just cause the series to drag. Naruto is possibly the worst maik character of any anime I've seen. His character design is trash. His personality is trash. His background is the only decent thing about him but after a certain point he becomes so annoying that it doesn't matter anymore. So not only do you have to follow this characters for what seems like a 1000 episodes, they punish you by filling episodes witb useless dialog with other characters that are nearly as worthless. To this day i cannot see the appeal of this series. I watched it for maybe 100 episodes and I cannot understand how or why people torture themselves with it. I won't give it a 1 because it at least did enough into fool me I wanted to watch it but it is definitely doesn't deserve anything more than a 3.

You don’t think Yu Yu hakusho was better than naruto?

:patrice:

Not long enough.
And Naruto at its peak was masterful.
I still remember being in high school when the the rasenshuriken jutsu chapter came out. Consistent drops but it was so much demand for that chapter that people had to settle for the raw with the photoshopped translations.

Man those were the good ole days.. I miss reading Naruto every week.

Yeah it was short, but that’s kinda good I guess because I haven’t watched it since they took it off toonami and put it on a different time slot to finish the show.

I talked a lot of mess about Z in previous threads, but for all it's flaws, it still deserves that GOAT level respect, just because it was the first series of it's kind. There's just a universal appeal there that you don't find in a lot of works of fiction, period.

It was a little rough around the edges near the end, but the innovation and it's influence on all this other stuff that came after it is just :ohlawd:

The 22nd Budokai (in the OG Dragonball) all the way through to the end of the Frieza arc has to be one of the GOAT stretches of storytelling in any series ever made.
Going through the tournament fights with Roshi, Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien to the King Piccolo saga, then Piccolo jr, then the Saiyan, Namek, and Frieza sagas back to back is just :ahh:

I’m giving it an 8. The series climaxed with one of the GOAT fights of Naruto vs Sasuke but I’m docking points for he high amount of filler episodes, Sakura’s annoying ass being a main character and too many Heart to Heart No Jutsus being used to conclude fights.

agreed that stretch is 10/10 and I talk a lot of trash about dragon ball as a franchise. The original series in particular is fantastic

The modern GOAT, the new era DBZ :blessed:

Too many memorable moments and fights which I'm sure plenty of people will name. Went from the trash of the village to one of the best to ever do it.

That's my #1 knucklehead ninja :wow:
