Haven't heard much about it but there's nothing really good about Jersey in general other than it's close to NYC. Looks like any typical town in that area.

Jersey tends to get overlooked a lot of times because it’s so close to NYC and people would rather drive through the state to go to the latter.

I’ve drove through Jersey City many times to go to NYC so I can’t rate it because I’ve never fully explored it but from what I’ve seen it looks pretty nice and there were tons of tourist attractions too. It seems like a mini Manhattan imo.

That’s not true. You should probably visit the number of small cities and areas located in Northern NJ on the Hudson across Manhattan.

Of course NYC itself is another beast

I recommend Jersey city and Hoboken to people who want to see the good side of Jersey.

Englewood and Teaneck also have well to do blacks

I can see JC from my window...Ive been in NY 20years and I've never been there.

I had a friend who lived over there though...everything about it is based on the access to Manhattan.

What he hated about it though was the commute...and late nights he had to always leave early because the trains would stop running at certain times

I remember going up there on a road trip for my boys child support case back in like 2012. Him, his girl, her daughter, and her brother. We stayed at some spot called Parsippany I wanna say. Real small town it seemed. I think only had like one major road there or at least we stayed on the main strip. That's when I first found out about the no self serve gas stations. The town wasn't that bad for a small town feel. I'm guessing these other cities along the Hudson are just like that.

Jersey City literally has every quality that NYC has except nightlife which makes sense cause everyone in Northern NJ just goes to Manhattan for it just like people in VA and MD probably go to DC.

10/10 for me.

Downtown JC has the nightlife now too.
