I remember going up there on a road trip for my boys child support case back in like 2012. Him, his girl, her daughter, and her brother. We stayed at some spot called Parsippany I wanna say. Real small town it seemed. I think only had like one major road there or at least we stayed on the main strip. That's when I first found out about the no self serve gas stations. The town wasn't that bad for a small town feel. I'm guessing these other cities along the Hudson are just like that.
That part of NJ is real suburban. The entire state is a suburb to be honest minus the small cities that are scattered and the strip of mothers Nj that lies by the Hudson.
