What issues are those?

:jbhmm:

Cost of living, gentrification, homeless people, crowded, sanitation

but I imagine @LovelyOne is broke.

but I’m sure he’ll proceed to tell me has an investment banking firm and owns 10 acres of corn fields

Those are the issues. NYC is simply not worth the price.

I actually do well enough, but unlike you, I don’t look down on other black people who may not be as stable.

And I’m a woman.

Unlike you I’m not obtuse. It’s called supply and demand and that fact is what makes prices.

If it wasn’t “worth” the price it wouldn’t be at that price.

same goes for LA and SF!

The whole vibe is just not my thing, I’ll live in nyc 9/10 Before I move to la

I’m a New Yorker and I can see myself living in LA but I’m not living in no hood that’s majority Mexican tho.

has nothing to do with being scared of an attack but it has more to do with history. The same way I’ll never own a home in Howard Beach or South Shore Staten Island.

Funny enough the city that interest me the most in Cali is Oakland.

You can get Haitian food in Los Angeles. There's 4 million people in the city, 10 million in the county, one of the most internationally diverse and cosmopolitan cities in the nation...

You could find Haitian food in LA lol...

Nah bruh this dude retired and lives in Miami now lol.

but there is a Haitian spot in San Diego and a good truck somewhere in the bay.

But I was joking with you. I’m the type to go to LA and open a shop myself lol

Blacks people are being priced out in most cities in America bruh its 2020. Gentrification is not limited to a few cities.

But I’m more so talking about the vibe you were speaking on.

The Hispanic black relations are better in Oakland and the diversity in the bay reminds me a lot like Queens except in Queens blacks are more middle class and more segregated from the other groups.

I get it, but it would be impossible to not have Haitian food in LA. There's somebody from every country on earth in LA, more than a few somebodies...you'd have to search it out, because Haiti is in the Caribbean which is much closer to the East Coast, so of course there isn't gonna be as many Carribeans in LA...

Oakland is more integrated than LA, not really more diverse. LA is just massive and has serious segregation over wide swaths of the city, Oakland doesn't have that issue...

yea integrated is the right word even though I did think Oakland was racially more diverse than LA.

and as far as Haitian food I’m sure there are a few Haitians who I can eat at their homes but places like LA are a golden opportunity for a Haitian to open shop. Simply because NY and Ma and FL have too much competition.

I always told myself if I ever opened up a Haitian food spot it would be somewhere on the west coast.

Easy success
