nikka you might wanna check Toni Braxton’s stats. Check her record sales and hits for her first three albums compared to Aaliyah’s
:francis:

Go check Toni’s billboard then look at Aaliyah :francis:

I swear the Aaliyah overrating is crazy

I don't judge careers soley based on record sales. But I guess you must think Rhianna and Adele have a better career than Beyonce by a landslide right:respect:?

Hold on,so Full Moon isn't a great album? that came out in the early 2000's. Her life expectancy was better than average among her peers. Then if you want you can count the fact she still made a hit with Chris Brown ("Put It Down") in the late 2010's,along with that collabo with Monica(It All Belongs to Me) and vocally she didn't fall off like many singers do.

Full Moon was

Didn't fair well commercially though. I liked it alot. Shyt was part of my summer soundtrack. It didn't chart like her 1st 2 albums.
And that song with Chris Brown didn't do well commercially either. It was meh to me. It was obvious she was just tryna make a comeback by being on a song with the hottest guy out at that time. Real music heads saw through that attempt.

She has hit records and albums, but you're completely ignoring the other criteria, such as: Vocal quality, Vocal control, Vocal technique, Live singing vs CD singing, Musicianship (Can they play instruments).
Mary is one of the best soulful singers ever and that comes thru in her voice. Mary ain’t the best singer but you acting like she ain’t way above average

Toni sings way better than Aaliyah

the list isn't competely about vocals. Plus how can you dudes sit here and act like Aaliyah didn't stand the test of time better than damn near everyone on the list. When for the past decade we've seen a plethora of breathy, whispering females singing over darker sounding beats and none could top her btw. Aaliyah is the source and inspiration behind the wave, even bitten by Drake, the most popular rapper in the world:mjlol:

So album for album Toni has sold more than Aaliyah, had way more hits than Aaliyah, can sing way better than Aaliyah but somehow Aaliyah had a better career by a landslide

We can't mix the two,you have sales and you have quality. Among many fans and her peers its considered her best album. That Two Eleven album I just googled and it said she sold 65K first week in 2012. That was a long time ago,but I feel that ammount for someone her age,not of that era is pretty impressive actually. I never got around to listening to it so I can't say if Two Eleven was good or not,but I'm seeing it was one of her most praised albums critically speaking,so I'm going to have to check it out:ohhh:

What about More Classic songs, fukk a hit. In that context I would argue Toni had more classics, maybe more hits I would have to look.Because Toni appealed to old black people and whites, theres a such thing as demographics here. My man skated right over that Rhianna question, even though Beyonce and Rhianna have the same demographic, the sales aren't even close. You dudes really love shytting on Aaliyahs career, nikkas won't let her r.i.p.

Toni appealed to old black people?? That means she had a more massive appeal. Toni is like a mixture of Anita Baker and Sade.
