if Aaliyah is a 6 and Mary J Blige is a 7 how could Brandy be a 9
she gets a 6
7. Trying to not let my bias get in the way

Yes,what kind of question is this? She was a young Anita Baker, which is why she was chosen to replace Anita Baker to sing "Love Should Have bught You Home". So you think older fans wasn't going to rock with Toni based on the type of music she was putting out?
"Braxton's debut album won her several awards, including three Grammy Awards (for Best New Artist and two consecutive awards for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in 1994 and 1995).
She won two American Music Awards (for Favorite Soul/R&B New Artist and Favorite New Adult Contemporary Artist) in 1994 and another one in 1995"
this probably should've been based strictly on vocals cause this starting to get ridiculous
This sums up how i feel pretty much
They made a classic together though
i kinda agree with you. I wouldn't say old, but id say she fit more into the 25-35 year old demographic at the time, yet she was around 20, 21 when her first single was released. i also think that R&B was more for older (25-35) at the time.
7 Pretty Good
She can sing but I never thought she was on the level of her peer, Monica's vocals. But with that said, there's a lot of Brandy's music that I like cause her songs are so well written and produced, we talking about timeless music. Classic albums; self titled album Brandy, Full Moon and Never Say Never.
Again, Monica is better singer than Brandy. But Brandy has had more better songs than Monica did and a better discography by like 1 album.
But Brandy is nice.
Full Moon is one of my favorite songs of all time. This song is in my 10 of favorite songs of all time. I can't even describe how nice it is.
Something about the way her vocal arrangements are on the song, the song is so well written, and the production is perfect. Everything that it takes for a song to be great, this song has and more!
aaliyah's singing wasn't better than brandy lol.
2. The following things should be taken into account : Vocal quality, Vocal control, Vocal technique, Song Flexibility (ability to do different types of genres i.e pop, rnb, jazz, rap etc.), Live singing vs CD singing. Album/Mixtape quality. Longevity. Musicianship (Can they play instruments) Classic songs/hits. Entire body of work. Do they stand the test of time?
Just my opinion
I always thought Monica was a better singer than Brandy
Again, Brandy has a lot more better songs and albums, but I think vocally, Monica is better. But Brandy wins when it comes to better albums and songs.
better than Brandy?
