Brandy’s career highs are way above Monica’s but the mids belong to Monica.
If we did a 16 track best of Monica or best of brandy, Monica’s best of album would be better.

Has some great songs , very classy lady - But she has zero stage presence and a monotone personality
I don't see how people can say she is just a good singer, she can go into any black church in america and bring the house down...she's an old school powerhouse singer.
but she ain't quite on that whitney, aretha level though, very few reach that level

Brandy is an elite vocalist. Monica is just good. I grew up in church so I know good singing vs. great singing vs. other worldly singing. Brandy blows me away with voice. Monica just gets a "good job".

Monica only had a good 8 year run from 1994-2003 with only 1 out of 3 albums being really good.
Brandy on the other hand at least has a certified classic in her 2nd album Never Say Never and also her debut is nothing to sneeze at either. Brandy's 1st 3 albums are really good with one being classic status. She got more hits than Monica. Better albums than Monica and better individual songs. She's also a better performer. And has the better voice. She was relevant longer and is highly revered in the music industry even today. Nobody outside of the coli is talking about Monica right now..
