I go by their first album release until their last good album.
For Brandy its 10 years because her 1st album dropped in 94. Her last good album which went Gold, dropped in 2004. Any album after that was dud in my opinion. 94-04. 10 years.

Monica's 1st album dropped in 1995. Her last good album in 2003, After The Storm, went gold. 1995-2003. 8 years
