Exactly. She should be celebrated more than she is. She blew up in the wrong era. Jaz belonged in the 90s with the other power house female vocalists.Jazmine deserves better
The fact she is so overlooked is criminal

Listen, I Care, Love On Top, Speechless, Dangerously In Love, MyMyself&I, Halo,
Ave maria, etc would like a word
Even songs like Drunk in Love and Countdown are challenging because of the pace and belting involved
Theres Flawless...sounds simple enough...but she produced the operatic vocals in the background as well
Keke Wyatt struggled to w/ Love On Top. The modulations and pace in addition to the transitions are no joke
To say what she does is easy would be disengenious if you study music...singers with her range, control, agility and power dont just grow on trees
Lol! Alls imma say is ask Beyonce to sing a Leona Lewis cover of "Run" and do 29 note riffs in one of the highest head voices in about 3 seconds and see what happens.Vocal analysts are baffled by that shyt. It's the equivalent of being able to pack insane amounts of notes at the highest vocal registry and it makes her voice sound like bells ringing---like vocal hummingbird wings.
start at 4:00
Jennifer Hudson literally outsang Bey in a Dreamgirls. And anybody who says Keke Wyatt's voice is average or thinks Beyonce can even go there...
Hell just the first 3 seconds into that video beat anything Beyonce has done.
We'll just shake hands, nod and agree to disagree on this one. Beyonce's range, clarity, technical voice quality ain't no where near them. But she's a great singer and an icon and has worked hard to improve her voice throughout the years.![]()
um sorry.. that 29 note riff was one of the clunkiest things I’ve ever heard..
you got anything for leona transitioning between head voice chest voice with no breaks w/accurate agility.. not her warbling the notes around with that slow ass vibrato? lmaoo
“Jennifer Hudson literally outsang Bey in a Dreamgirls.” - Jennifer has a bigger voice than beyonce so ofcourse ppl will think that more volume=better vocals.. but beyonce has better resonance and in the movie she had to hold back 90% because she was playing the characteristic role of Deena/Diana ..when they performed together at the oscars, Her resonant F5 drowned out Jennifer’s F5 (she was sustaining) at 1:17 due to her better mix placement/support
Keke is a beast, but she doesn’t have any restraint or musicianship with her choices. she also copies and paste the ‘if only you knew’ run in every song she sings like damn, can you find a new scale? loll

In 4 seconds nikka?!

In 4 seconds nikka?!
LMAO!
Beyonce doesn't have the same clarity or skill at the higher ranges. And Leona is like queen of falsetto although she not touching the empress Mariah...
But Beyonce ain't coming near either of em...LMAO! Stop it slime!
Ya'll gotta chill with the delusions. I adore Beyonce's voice at lower registers but she sounds nasally and cat-like at upper registers. Meanwhile Leona was doing them runs like she was chilling at the beach.
"Happy" and "Bleeding Love" are possible two of the hardest songs to sing ever...
Also Jennifer doesn't just have a bigger voice but a better more soulful and powerful voice than Beyonce.
Not saying Beyonce is bad. But she NOT seeing Jennifer in tone, strength, soul, or voice quality. Ya'll gotta quit it.
In her own right Beyonce is a great vocalist. Let's just leave it there.

Lol! Leona Lewis transitions are so flawless that people couldn't even distinguish between her head and falsetto voice in many cases. Her fast and slow vibrato are so superior that she is capable of doing that at the highest registries and sounds as clear as a bell while packing crazy amounts of notes on riffs at those high registries into mere seconds.Well leona is a light lyric soprano, so shouldn’t she have a better higher register than beyonce due to Beyonce’s voice being placed an entire 3rd lower? And even if we put things into context, its lowkey embarrassing that Leona hasn’t even developed a connected head voice, commected to her modal range with full chord adduction an opts for a disconnected falsetto that doesn’t even have much dexterity compared to a mezzo who has a fully fleshed out head voice that’s capable of being mixed perfectly with her chest and used in a variety of ways.. leona’s legato lines alone are really mediocre breh she gets by by having natural ease and a bell-like tone, but her actual skill is lacking
Soul is subjective ..jennifer has a bigger instrument so ofcourse she’ll have more raw volume, but power comes directly from the amount of resonance the voice carries, no? It is a fact that Beyonce has more resonance in her voice. I don’t find Jennifer impressive at all aside from her wailing, tbh.. it takes more control to use dynamics, agility and arrange the types of vocals beyonce does night to night on tour.. I think that Aaliyah sings with more soul than Beyonce along with ppl like Sade and Mary J Blige, but that subjective trait doesn’t make them better vocalists than Bey jus cause they sing with more emotion.. if that was the case any of these whisper-singers with soulful voices could sing better than technical vocalists like Bey..

Not only that, but the subtleties in all ranges and the power she is able to maintain from low to the highest notes is nothing short of remarkable.
Beyonce starts straining and yelling notes at the edge of her vocal range and it's grating to my ears. And I absolutely hate her head and falsetto voice...but she has improved it majorly since Halo and Ego over the years. Also not a fan of her cover of Ave Maria either. It sounded rough to me.
Meanwhile, Jennifer doesn't have to wail to effortlessly and powerfully produce sound that Beyonce has to struggle to get out at higher ranges and Jennifer can sustain those notes while washing her car. Beyonce can sing no doubt but Jennifer can SANG and Jennifer can do so with ease damn near straight outta bed. There is really no comparison.
I will never be a Beyonce hater but I'm not going to overestimate her ability either. Hell I haven't even talked about Tamia or Deborah Cox. Vocally there are quite a few that can more than give Beyonce a run for her money, but her stans don't like facts.
She's not the best but that doesn't mean she isn't a great vocalist and a legend. Agree to disagree.

Anita Baker
Tamia
Keke Wyatt
Deborah Cox
Leona Lewis (before her illness)
I imagine that this what angels sound like when they sing to God in Heaven.
I'm in tears again just watching this shyt. The music Leona has created with her voice is unlike anything I've ever heard.
Just pause the video ANYWHERE to see some amazing shyt. Transitions, long ass sustained vibratos...flawless head and chest voice....incomparable
Fantasia
"SOOO GIVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" When that bottom lip drop and start vibrating.....
Jennifer Hudson
When you bring Denzel to tears![]()
I like singers with depth and that are not part of the mass media machine or manufactured. I'm also more of a rap fan than an R&B singer type. But The R&B singers that I do like are underground, underrated, have a cult-ish type of following or Neo soul vibe - Teedra Moses, Amel Larrieux, Corinne Bailey Rae, Sade, FKA Twigs, DonMonique.. type of songs made for sitting on a rooftop or balcony at 2am, in a zone or taking a walk to nowhere, hanging out - example:ive rarely come across women who didnt like beyonce![]()
