A far and away 10 for me. I've listened to Anita ever since I was little. Part jazzy, part R&B. It's hard for others to cover her songs because of how unique her voice is. Those runs though .

Not many who still sound the exact same live as they do on their records also.

EDIT: I had thought about giving her a 9 cause I felt like the only knock was that you had to be in a certain mood to listen to her music. She didn't really have songs for different occasions. I hear everyone else also when they say she may be missing something but can't quite figure out what. I felt her voice really catapults her to a 10.

I grew up listening to her music when my mother and father would be up at night dancing in our dinning room...they thought me and my sisters were sleeping but I creeped a little bit down the stairs trying to get a midnight snack .



A : An artist that rarely flags for more than two or three tracks. Not every listener will feel what the artist is trying to do, but anyone with ears will agree the aforementioned is doing it good.

Anita vs. Beyonce is weird to me. Anita's voice is unique and her music is timeless. Beyonce's voice is not unique and her music is not timeless. Raw vocal ability though, I guess Beyonce is a better raw vocalist. It pains me to say it.
