Range is not the only criteria when judging singers. If it were, Minnie Ripperton would be a 10. I agree Lisa has a powerful voice and a very high full voice range but outside of that? She's just a better version of Jennifer Hudson to me. All power, not much else

Then again, that's why I'm doing these threads; for conversations like this.

Well that’s crazy that you would even reduce her to a better version of Jennifer Hudson considering she has a wider vocal range and imo more control over her voice than anyone on that list (excluding Whitney Houston for voice control).

But it’s cool. Not trying to argue, just wanted to introduce someone that I think is one of the top vocalist of all time.

I’m not even a fan of Jennifer Hudson’s voice. It sounds like she’s yelling most of the time.

But since we started this convo, I've been listening to her a little bit more. I would bump her up to a strong 8
