Whitney's in the end did surpass Aretha,
In there prime whitney was better vocally and had a more powerful voice, drug just cut in her career short but she did have 10 strong years 86-96

I disagree. Aretha has better music and more classic songs. I think the only things comparable are the voices. Whitney has bigger hits of course but that was by design
