Kinda figured they were going with a streaming network. Shocked that it's Netflix tho.

They're apparently getting at least $400 million a year which is a huge jump over the current deal of $250 million so I can see why they made the jump. On top of that, it's apparently going to include everything from Smackdown! to WM to even NXT in the long run, which is going to be interesting considering the separate deals for each of those series currently in play.

WWE/TKO making big moves & breaking tradition in a very risky but lucrative fashion because this is going to force normal diehards to either get Netflix or increase the rate of piracy on the open seas. All these streamers are trying to get a lock on the live market anyway.

This is extremely weird and dicey AF. :picard:
Seriously. Netflix’s reputation has probably never been lower, streaming seems to be a bubble ready to burst, and now they’re committing to a service that pulls the plug on everything. Massive risk. Wonder what it means for commercial breaks.

So that means I gotta have a peacock and now a Netflix account? :francis:

I already have peacock for the PLE’s but I gave up Netflix 3 years ago and had no plans of returning. I don’t know how it is now but it had fell off to me. Plus the price kept increasing

shyt I barely watch TV at all now lol I’ll just get it on bootleg or go to YouTube.

Interesting. This is just the streaming rights?
STAMFORD, Conn., January 23, 2024 – WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TKO), and Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) today announced a long-term partnership that will bring WWE’s flagship weekly program – Raw – to the world’s leading entertainment service. This marks a major programming shift as Raw leaves linear television for the first time since its inception 31 years ago.
