Came to post/ask this.

It’s a solid deal when you think about 5 Billy over 10 years, it’s a guaranteed 500 Million a year. I wonder what the advertisement model looks like from here :jbhmm:

Whenever RAW is commercial free, they still show WWE centered ad formatted content in between time, like WWE shop stuff, random wrestler vignettes, etc.

I’m assuming it’ll still be that going forward. We not gon just get endless matches with no interruptions. They’ll still cut away to other stuff like they always do

That’s my guess

Just as it sounds, the AE stuff isn't watched as much as people think. I'm not saying no one watches it, but the people that think they should go back to the AE have become the vocal minority.

I wouldve thought it would be up there. They released metrics or something?

The thing about that time period is the matches were full of nonsense and nonstop swerves that aged poorly. The matches were frequently real short and sloppy as hell too. My guess is most stuff people go back to watch were matches as opposed to promos or entire weekly shows.

Wrestletalk and other sites used to keep track of the stuff that was trending the most throughout the year, and it was normally stuff happening that year or episodes from the mid-late 2000s.

As exciting as that era was, it has aged the worst out of all the eras. The Jerry Springer booking gave it the same Jerry Springer longevity. The Golden & Ruthless Aggression eras have aged much better imo(minus 02 RAW).

So is Raw going to be commercial free now?

Man people still watching wrestling like that?!? :why: insanity, Netflix got ripped off :mjlol:
What are you measuring that by?

AEW, as small as it is compared to WWE, still is regularly the highest rated show on Warner Bros. channels.

WWE regularly getting thousands in attendence (weekly) on non-televised house shows--that's better than you average rapper

I was looking into this yesterday as comments were made specifically about Netflix users that are on the Standard with ads plan - they will still get commercials.

Those on the ad-free plan would have no commercials but the wrasstlin' will cater around it ie: rest holds. This tweet pretty much sums it up. Same as TV now basically.

thats hate lmao

Square biz, Peacock Era WWE is a frustrating experience to watch :scust:. Like they had the Bloodline series but show these bloated ass events and some that did not make no fukkING sense to the bloodline coming together (Random 205 Live episode showing Roman Reigns talking about signing a contract for a triple threat match).

It’s a guaranteed built in in fanbase that does consistent numbers that can rival the nfl and nba . Especially if they can develop a partnership and get some ufc content too? It’s a no brainer. Wrestling fans are some of the most loyal there are . Only fans that actively hate on the product they consume
