Your girl loves em....
the worst batman game had the best boss fights and the best batman game had the worst boss fights.....

Batman didnt revolutionized either of those things, and they are both shallow gameplay mechanics regardless.

Woat for a reason
Those games are action games/hack and slash. Batman is an open world game. Only comparable game would be sleeping dogs, gta, skyrim etc. It'd be like comparing Skyrim game play with Bayonetta.Compare it to any other action game. DMC, MGSR, Bayonetta, GOW, ect, the combat is shallow as fukk. Its fun and it looks cool, but that's why people are saying it got stale after the first one. There's just not much to it. Batman is basically on rails. It plays more like a series of QTE instead of dynamic combat like the games I mentioned above.

The combat system is dope. You calling it a QTE is laughable. I won't even bother going further into this.Batman is an a action game. But whatever genre you want to call it, the combat is shallow. That's the truth.

Yes each enemy type requires you to press a different button combo, but beyond that there's no strategy or challenge to the combat. No it's notI mean if you button mash like an idiot sure but the combat is far from shallow. Especially in this edition. One of the few things I like is the edition of new enemy types such as medics who revive knocked out foes/provide an electric force field to them. You have to think about what move to use before attacking.
Stopped reading here.Nah, that's what it is.
Every move is context sensitive. You don't chose what attack moves batman will use, the game does. You don't have to worry about spacing or attacking/blocking in the correct direction. Each different class of enemy requires the exact same button combination to defeat them.
Batman is basically on rails, and all you have to do is hit the correct button for the context on screen. Sounds pretty similar to QTE to me.

So arkahm asylum and arkahm city are different genres? It'd be like comparing Skyrim game play with Bayonetta.

The fighting mechanics were fine. I wasn't asking for a new system. If it's not broke don't fix it. My issue was outside of the fear stealth takedowns there was nothing new combat wise. No real new gadgets or combat moves. And they removed the sonic rings which were key in luring enemies to creative takedowns. I was standing by wooden walls and windows praying enemies would walk by and it rarely happened
