Reggie Miller opened the flood gates of the borderline

Ehh IDK about that, Reggie had a right to be in the Hall.

With a record like all-time 3 point shots (when he left the game), he had a big impact on the game. He had moments that will never be forgotten in the playoffs (vs the Knicks). He had much more of an impact and case for the Hall than someone like Manu IMO. You cant blame Reggie for whats going on really.

I don't think either of them are necessarily HOF guys. I remember a lot of those all-star games Yao got. Some of them he couldn't even walk, and others it was more or less because he was a freak specimen. 8 ASG's are 8 ASG's and at his peak he would have been Springfield bound, but no longevity. I just think Manu has a little stronger of a case.

That '04 Gold Medal in Athens IMO is HUGE. He's the only player in any HOF convo that isn't American that can say "I got a gold medal, and mainly because of me, I had Argentina as the #1 basketball country in the world." He's a reason why The Redeem Team was sorely needed in Beijing.

U think Ginobili has a stronger case, how? Other than havin' more fortunate circumstances. Basketball-reference.com has Ming makin' the Hall 38%, Ginobili 12%. And lemme kno when Ginobili's resume' matches this:

-Career averages of 19-9-2-2

Yao's International presence
Served as U.S. Ambassador to China for 13 years, was the face of China for the U.S. Made the NBA China's most poular sport, bringin' in around 100 million viewers when he played Yi Jianlian, and 1.3 billion every season @ his prime, debunked the notion that Chinese couldnt play. Has brought in $2.3 billion in revenue shares from the NBA, and broke Jordan record of All-Star votes in '05.

Among the players (collegiate, WNBA & NBA) Yao has held influence upon:
-Yi Jianlian
-Jeremy Lin
-Sun Yue
-Ha Seung Jin
-Mengke Bateer
-Yuta Tabuse
-Kosuke Takeuchi
-Sung-Yoon Bang
-Zhang Kai
-Liu Wei
-Xue YuYang
-Sean Chen
-Ted Wang
-Sabatino Chen
-Sim Bhullar
-Sun HuFeng
-Tyler Sugiyama
-Jet Chang
-Max Zhang
-Sun Ming Ming
-Jim Soo Kim/Choi
-Lin Chang
-Taishi Ito
-Keijuro Matsui
-Ji Xiang
-Shang Ping
-Cai Chen
-Tai-Hao Wu
-Aaron Xia
-Li Muhao
-Wang Zhelin
-Guo Allun
-Zhou Ki
-Duan JiangPeng
-Narito Namizato
-Sui Feifei
-Miao Lijie
:wow:

Made more All-Star appearances in less time, and was the starter in every All-Star Game he was elected to

6th in Rockets franchise history in points & rebounds
4th in free throws made
2nd in blocks
2002 NBA Rookie Of The Year
2x All-NBA Second Team
3x All-NBA 3rd Team
NBA All-Rookie First Team
2002 CBA Finals Champion & MVP
2002 FIBA World Championship
3x FIBA Asian Championship
Made the Rockets relevant again

Got elected to an All-Star Game WHILE NOT EVEN fukkIN' PLAYIN' A GAME :heh:[/QUOTE]

Yall nikkas must be young as fukk! :belbetray: Prime Manu in the 2000's was a notch below legendary

No question he will get in. His career averages are not the best, but 16, 4, 4 and an important member of those titles? Along with his international accomplishments?

He might be :flabbynsick: now, but he is first ballot

So now reggie isnt one of the most lights out shooters the NBA has seen? He had a skill that was head and shoulders above the rest while he played.

Im not saying he had the best all around game, but that impact and dominance behind the 3 pt line and at the FT line cant be denied..What does Manu have in comparison?

First off I actually thought for the most part the finals were officiated fairly with one or two bad calls. IMO this the Heat first legit title. but I digress

all these anaylsts talking about ginobili is a hofamer, how is he not just a reckless ass sixth man? We putting a nikka slightly better then JR Smith int he hall now? If he didnt win a title this wouldnt even be a discussion. Now I know the basketball hall of fame lets everyone in like a fukkin community college, chirs rock voice, and they gonna bring up his forgein numbers but foh this nikka was just a nice bench player in the nba, he does this on a non title winning team hes not close.

Further proof judging players by titles is asinine.

it's the BASKETBALL HOF, not the NBA HOF.

That's why.

So all that means he's a HOF, when guys like JoJo White, and Mitch Richmond have better cases, yet aren't in? :heh:
