Real talk: looking back, most of that def jux/anticon/rhymesayers indie nerd rap was fukking garbage

I still play Fantastic Damage... Def Jux compilation 2 is also highly recommended. Only positive I can take from that era besides those two records was MF DOOM taking over, and that racists underground crowd giving rise to some ridiculous 5% horrocore rap from Jus Allah and even dudes like Immortal Technique.

That was the era of cats putting all that over the top battle rap bragging to dope beats. I still dig it. But yeah, I can't with that Sage Francis mahfugga
