In regards to which sounds more modern yes I think RD. But not sure the significance of that.

Ain't No Nikka is worse than anything on Illmatic by far and it sounds like complete shyt today, it reeks of shiny suit and is ridiculously dated.
Both are great albums both are in my top 10, both are timeless Illmatic to me will always be number one. I had Reasonable Doubt in the back end of my top 10 probably behind Me Against The World.
