Never understood how RD got the Mafioso Rap tag. To me, it's nothing like OB4CL, and other albums in that lane.

The sauce gave it 4 mics, and for good reasons. The subject matter was generic, and other albums did the gangsta sh1t better. It was NOT considered a classic then, and it shouldn't now. There were a handful of better albums in 96 than RD.

Definitely not the best lmao, it's top 20 for me definitely a classic.
above average.

most overrated album I have ever seen.
The Blueprint is wayyyy more overrated
C'Mon tho, how can you have 50 albums ahead

Foh Pac stans, AEOM is not better than Reasonable Doubt. AEOM is massively overrated, def. had filler, long AF.
D'Evils, Dead Presidents, Regrets, Feelin' It, Coming of Age, Bring it On, Can I Live, 22 Two's, Brooklyn's Finest

I'm fine with this. It's a really really great album, especially from a lyrical standpoint

There was a reason it was an overshadowed album in that year

AEOM > Reasonable Doubt tbh. Even if it does have filler to you, it has more great tracks too. The impact of AEOM being a double disk album was the fact that nikkas was playing AEOM in constant rotation every where for atleast 2 years straight just because it had that much quality content on it. Even the filler would have been good on any other album. You can put together just the straight classic songs from AEOM, and those alone would just out class Reasonable Doubt

It was overshadowed because it was a great year for hip hop, lots of other classic releases (IWW, Hell On Earth, ATLiens). Jay was relatively unknown, dude was doing features for Big L and Mic Geronimo.

RD doesn't have a single bad track, look at the songs I mentioned. What are the best 14 tracks on AEOM personally I haven't touched that album in years. The best 14 tracks on AEOM aren't touching the 14 tracks on RD.

Dead Presidents>anything on AEOM

you're telling me Dead Presidents is better than, Ambitionz Az A Ridah? It's hard for me to pick the best 14 song. Dont act like there isn't filler on RD b... Their isn't really any bad songs on AEOM, just the "filler"doesn't measure up to the best tracks. Alot of 2 Pacs hits are on AEOM, too many to name on it

Only called classic because Jay kept saying it was and the media fell for it because they worship him

Cacs who know NOTHING about hip hop are especially guilty of this

You're telling me Ambitionz Az A Ridah is better than Dead Presidents? One, it's a much better produced track one of the smoothest most melodic beats in hip hop history, the Nas sample from "The World is Yours" was genius. Two, Jay's flow was excellent just effortless, three it is one of Jay's best songs lyrically. It is regarded as one of the best songs ever recorded, and it is one of the most freestyled songs. Tupac is just rambling about being a thug, Jay is sharing personal experiences about his time in the drug game. Not only does AEOM not have a DP but it also doesn't have a track better than Regrets.

"I dabbled in crazy weight, without rap I was crazy straight
Partna, I'm still spending money from '88"
:ohlawd:
Listen to this sh*t again breh

There isn't filler on RD, maybe Friend or Foe was a little unnecessary it it was dope little 2 minute track. The only track I wasn't really feeling was Ain't No nikka, but that was a single and one of Jay's most popular songs at the time.
DP, Can I Live, Regrets, 22 Two's, Bring da Pain, Coming of Age, Feelin' It, D'Evils, Brooklyn's Finest all great songs. 16 tracks, I really don't see the filler or skippable tracks.

You just that much of a Jay stan... I'll let you live. You need to stop with that Regrets shyt though. We just gone have to agree to disagree.

Just to be clear I'm well aware of RD being a classic. I just dont rank it higher that AEOM, so no one gets confused
