Looked flat-out terrible today.

Clay and Cobb looked good. Aside from that, I can't think of anything I was happy with. Looked like a completely different team than what I watched last year.

I think I'm just overreacting and we're shaking off the rust, but the dudes gotta get it together Thursday.

This... I know they got the best Rushing Defense in the league and we don't really need a running game to win games but damn, we couldn't move the ball on the ground at all...

I'm pissed off that we lost in lambeau though, it probably wouldn't have stung this bad for me if we woulda lost to them over in San Fran...

We need to get rid of Capers already...His trend seems to be to make a D top 5 for one or two years and then they fall off the face of the earth...The guy isnt as good as most think...Also Jarrett Bush needs to be fukking cut and put to rest...This nikka popping off at the mouth when he sucks worse then any other CB in the league...Rodgers was way off this game. Its week one so its not all doom and gloom...Many great teams went on to win championships after sucking so im not too worried...I have faith McCarthy will get this team in mid season form and winning...Hopefully we start to gel in the 2nd half of the season cuz that seems to be the trend to winning SB's lately

Yeah, I tweeted yesterday that this will be Capers last year here. It's amazing that, after last year, and all the scrutiny the defense received, that we can play week 1 and look exactly the same. That's on both Capers and McCarthy.

Matter of fact, the last 2 games we've played, we've gotten our ass beat. Both the Giants and Niners basically beat us up, and I blame McCarthy. You look at the 4th quarter yesterday, and how the offense just seemingly "came alive", and wonder what the hell they were doing for 3 quarters. Again, the blame has to be McCarthy.

It was so depressing watching the defense yesterday. The Niners offense are as average as it gets (at best), and we made Alex Smith look like fukking Joe Montana. Same problems as last year: gaping holes in the secondary, little to no pass rush (no fault to Clay, as he was by far our best player on D, and worked his ass off), a soft run defense, and a unique ability in not being able to get off the field on 3rd down. Of course when Jarrett Bush is a starting CB, then something is bound to go bad.

I wish House hadn't gotten hurt, as he looked ok before he did, and we might have to just throw Hayward out there and see what he can do, cause Bush is awful. If he's playing on D at all, it should be at safety. Speaking of safety, it should be no surprise that our defensive woes have been magnified ever since Collins got hurt. CW21 is one of my favorite players ever, I love Clay, Tramon & Raji, but it's clear that Collins was the heart of our D.

Now, there'e miscommunication after miscommunication, that results in blown coverage after blown coverage. It's really to the point that if a QB is dropping back, I expect a completion every single time. It's pathetic.

As far as Thursday, I'd say it's only a must win in the the "fan" sense, as dealing with Bear fans would be pretty bad if they win. Season is long, and there's plenty of time to right the ship, and all these other, so called "playoff teams" in the NFC looked alot worse than we did. With that said, I fully expect us to beat Chicago, probably in a shootout, as their defense isn't any good either.

Yea chicago is not a threat...We own them and they feel confident after beating a horrible Colts team so the ether will be extra burned that night...I like how 1-0 makes all these fans act like they going to the playoffs or something...by week 10 the same nikkas will be silent

the defense played its best game since 2010 last night.. McMillian played the safety spot much better than Jennings and Shields looked like his old self last night. Tramon was money as well and looks healthy.

Of course its the Bears offense but even last year the Bears gushed us for yardage and got some easy scores on us in our meetings.

The offense needs to come around (James Jones specifically). Driver should get more snaps in place of him. Rodgers looked off but he struggles against the Bears a lot, I give them credit for a lot of those coverage sacks.

Oh and big ups to the Special Teams :wow: Masthay punts beautifully and the fake FG :pachaha:

We're 1-1 and headed to Seattle for a Monday Night game, so plenty of rest for Jennings and company. Seattle's D is good but they will have a rookie QB at the helm and playing in SEA is tough but we can deal.

Good win brehs

Yeah, typical game against the Bears. As of late, we absolutely OWN them, so it's surprising to me that Bear fans are so confident going into games against us.

As far as the game, where the hell has THAT D been? Yes, Cutler (and that OLine) is terrible, and like Chuck said, he's gonna throw us some balls (some of which we didn't catch, smh), but shyt had me daydreaming back to the Super Bowl D. Clay is a fukking animal. It's clear that his lingering injuries last year were worse than we thought, cause I think we're seeing a healthy Clay right now, and a healthy Clay is basically unblockable. I mean, go back and re-watch the game...he was held CONSTANTLY, and there was one exchange where he was held immediately, Cutler scrambled past him being held, then took another second or 2 before throwing, while Clay was STILL being held. shyt was ridiculous.

The offense though? SMH, we're still out of sorts, and they need to fix that. I LOVE the commitment to the run, but Rodgers and the receivers need to get on the same page fast. They looked that way all camp too, so it's been a problem for over a month, and still there's issues. Drops, fukked up routes, Rodgers just not with that fine "sharpness" that we're used to. Gotta fix it, and fast.

One last note: I've been his biggest and loudest supporter for a long time (going back to his rookie year), and I've waited, and hoped, and waited, and hoped, but it ended last night. I'm officially off the Jermichael Finley hype train. I know it's hard to avoid getting the ball punched out like that, but how long has Tillman been doing it? He's victimized us a few times (hi James Jones), and all the ball handlers should know to cover the damn ball when contact is imminent. And he's still playing hot potato with the ball. It looks like all that talent and promise just isn't gonna come to fruition. So damn frustrating.
